  • Best Tech, Best Future

    Funded Sep 23, 2020

When I discovered this project was fully funded I was elated. Most of the materials requested were needed to support my instruction. My students have been learning in a remote setting since March 2020 and often struggled to have proper supplies at their disposal. Since our closure the tech that is available has been incredible and these supplies have helped to make it possible. Thank you for generously donating to our classroom to supply these amazing tech tools. You are simply incredible and your kindness has greatly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kierce

  • Remotely Ready to Read

    Funded Sep 16, 2020

When I discovered this project was fully funded I was elated. With your generous donation my students were able to access rich text along along with supplies to create at home kits. Students received their own person whisper phones and have improved their reading ability by listening to themselves read during independent reading. The books have been a rich, wonderful addition to our classroom library. It is one of our favorite parts of the day, when we have our classroom read aloud. Thank you again for your generous donation. You are simply incredible and your kindness is greatly appreciated.”

  • Return to Learn (Hybrid/Remote TBD)

    Funded Sep 3, 2020

When I discovered this project was fully funded I was elated. Most of the materials requested were basic school supplies students need. My students have been learning in a remote setting since March 2020 and often struggled to have proper supplies at their disposal. Since our closure the tech that is available has been incredible, but our early learners need to practice and develop their fine motor, language, memory and concentration skills. Thank you for generously donating to our classroom to supply simple things, which most of us take for granted. You are simply incredible and your kindness has greatly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kierce

  • Creating a Calming Classroom Corner

    Funded Mar 2, 2018

Words can't fully express how grateful I am for your generous donations made on behalf of room 105. Unfortunately, many of my students suffer from trauma and often act out. In order to alter the pattern of negative behavior we were witnessing in our classroom, I tried to seek some positive solutions that could happen within our classroom setting. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to implement our calming corner. The fidget toys, therapeutic putty, and other tools have helped my students work out there frustrations while in a safe, healthy environment and the bonus being they remain in our classroom. Students may access our calming center as needed. They are allowed to stay for a set amount of time, they can select one tool to use, complete a think sheet to process their emotions, and integrate back into our lessons independently. I have learned a lot having our calming corner in our classroom this year. Its effectiveness has earned it a permanent location in room 105. I can't thank you enough for positively influencing my students, especially in some of their darkest moments by providing this support. Thank you so much for helping these amazing young students and for inspiring us all to work hard because people, like you, CARE. Room 105 wishes you all the best and hopes you achieve all of your goals!

Thanks for making our wish come true.”

    With gratitude,

  • Ready to Read!

    Funded Jan 23, 2018

Words can't fully express how grateful I am for your generous donation to room 105. We have been working hard on our reading skills and we are making great progress thanks to your generosity. The seat cushions are used daily in our classroom and have provided our students with a comfortable place to sit as they read independently. We had a few cozy spots before, but our fantastic new cushions really helped to anchor my students and allow them to attend to their work. The telephones have been a great resource, as well. Students have been able to utilize them daily. This tool allows them to hear themselves and to make corrections as needed. It has been a great tool for our ELL students. Lastly, our anchor chart stand gets the most use in the classroom. We use it for every lesson and it has been a great way to store our anchor charts. When previous strategies come up, I can easily go back and refer to the appropriate anchor chart. It is such a helpful tool to help provide our students with the visuals they so desperately need to learn. Thank you so much for helping these amazing young students and for inspiring us all to work hard because people, like you, care. Room 105 wishes you all the best and hopes you achieve all of your goals!

Thanks for making our wish come true.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kierce

Our first grade classroom consists of 30 impressive, young ladies and gentlemen, who have an insatiable appetite for learning. W love to learn; however, we are lacking various classroom materials to help us achieve our education goals. Our school is located in a high poverty area where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Although my students have to face much adversity in their personal lives, they enter our classroom eager to learn and try to "be the rainbow in someone else's cloud." They inspire me every day to be a better educator, a better person, and I am hoping you can inspire room 105 by your kindness and generosity.
