They are learning to regulate their emotions and these items will help to facilitate teaching them calming strategies.     I am extremely grateful for your support towards our inclusive preschool classroom. This is part two of a project to provide my students with iPads to use during small group instruction.

    Thanks to the iPad you helped provide, my preschoolers have been able to access educational applications such as ST Math, which supports cognitive development and mathematical skills. They also have been able to access to Starfall which promotes literacy skills and deveopmentally appropriate learning activities.

    Students are very excited and look forward to technology small group time. Students use the iPads during small groups twice a week. Students of all abilities have been able to access instructional materials with the iPad. I am very grateful to be able to provide students with diverse learning opportunities to meet their individual learning needs.”

    Students love the STEM materials you helped provide to our classroom. They are using their imaginations building different things like bridges and buildings using the manipulatives.

    My preschoolers were very excited to see the materials and couldn't wait to start building. These materials are also helping our students build their fine motor skills and coordination.

  • Big Books for Little Learners.

    We are very grateful for your generosity and support for early childhood education. The big books have been very helpful in providing early literacy instruction in the classroom. We are using the big books during story time.

    Students have enjoyed listening to the stories and looking at the pictures. We are addressing skills such as how to follow print on a book, parts of the book, recognizing rhyming words and reading comprehension. The students have enjoyed listening and participating along during story time. Once again thank you so much for your support towards my classroom and my students.”

  • Literacy Materials for Young Learners!

    Thanks to your support, my classroom has received literacy materials that are age appropriate and support language and literacy development.

    My students really enjoy using the gumball machine activity which allows them to practice and enhance their grasp. This activity will help them strengthen the fine motor skills necessary to write.

    I am using the sorting and clasifying activities to enhance students' vocabulary and critical thinking skills. My students love the manipulatives that come with activity boxes. We have also practiced making stories with the story-telling box. My young students are learning about characters and settings in the stories.

    These activities have helped me meet the needs of my diverse learners and students with special needs. I am truly grateful for your support towards my classroom and young learners.”

  • Learning Through Play, a Playhouse!

    I am truly grateful for the support you have provided to my classroom and students. I can only describe their happy faces when they got to see the play house. They were really excited and couldn't wait to play.

    The playhouse has become one of our outdoor activity areas. My preschoolers are interacting with their peers and learning to take turns. They are also role playing pretending to cook, serve food and pretend it is a restaurant. They are developing their language and social emotional skills.

    It is truly wonderful seeing our students interacting with each other and including their peers with special needs in our inclusive class. Thank you so much for making a difference in the lives of our young learners.”

  • Creating Preschool Memories Part 2

    Funded May 6, 2021

    I greatly appreciate your support for our classroom. Thanks to your help, our classroom received the Cricut heat press machine machine, vinyl sheets, and white t-shirts. With our new Cricut press machine and supplies, I was able to create and provide students with personalized graduation t-shirts. The t-shirts I created had a 'Pre-K class of 2021" logo as well as student's names and stars printed with their favorite color.

    Students were very happy and excited for preschool graduation and loved their t-shirts. Students on distance learning wore their t-shirts on the last day of school and our students that attended school in person wore their t-shirts to schools.

    Parents were surprised and expressed their gratitude. Once again, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to create something special for my students. I am looking forward to the new school year to create more items for my students.”
