Let’s Buy It!
Funded Sep 16, 2022I have been teaching pre-K for over 6 years We were in need of many items due to normal use wear over time.
Our dollhouse really needed new dolls for the children to play with. It has been such a joy watching them set up the dollhouse furniture and hearing the conversations the dolls are having. They love playing in their center and it is because of the new dolls. Thank you for helping to make our dollhouse center so much fun.
In our dramatic play area we use the cash register and the phone. It has really made an impact with my students' dramatic play skills. They pretend to use the credit card to make purchases and the phone is often used to call their moms to say "I love you." It is very sweet. Thank you so much for your ongoing support of our classroom.”

Funded Oct 13, 2022This was a wonderful surprise. We will be starting our new unit of study at the end of this month and I was really hoping to have these items to use with my class. My children will be so happy to have clothing for our baby dolls and a bassinet. We were using shelves as a bassinet and started to make one out of a box. Now we will be able to have a real bassinet for our dolls. Thank you so much! I can’t wait to use the magnetic roller coaster with my class on our giant magnet board. Thank you for funding our project and helping to make learning fun!”

Tell Us Again!
Funded Jul 28, 2022This year began with an amazing surprise. My project to help my students fall in love with reading was funded. The retelling magnetic sorry pieces will help my students learn sequencing of events and improve their expressive language skills. The retelling story pieces can also be used on a Velcro board or on my magnetic board. The versatility will make this activity so much fun for my students.
The magnetic sand is going to be a HUGE hit!!! We have kinetic sand and plain sand. But this magnetic sand will help the students build their hand strength while creating fun objects. We will start our Where We Live unit in November and I can't wait to use the architecture building set with each of them. They are going to really enjoy building houses either from their own imagination or by using the picture cards as a building guide. This will truly be an amazing year. Thank you for all of your support.”

Funded Mar 1, 2022Thank you so much for supporting this project. The children are learning and growing with all of our new supplies. They are mastering patterns. Not only are they repeating a simple pattern but they are creating their own patterns too. Children are natural learners and explorers. When I put out and introduced the letter tracing activity...they were so excited. They have learned how to correctly write the letters in their names and also some of their friends' names. The trays are my favorite. It has helped to foster each child's independence when doing playdough, art and other messy activities. In the past, I would have to cover their area. Now, they can get their own tray and supplies and be as creative as they want. Of course, puzzles are always a hit and are fine at to work on fine motor skills and teamwork. Thank you so much for your support in helping to make this past year amazing for each of my students.”

Funded May 28, 2020Thank you for funding my project. Pre-K is the grade that I love to teach. My class is comprised of 13 children who are eager to learn and each of them learn in different ways. Every child, comes to pre-K with an innate love of learning and filled with curiosity. This project has enabled my class to learn, discover and explore.
All of the supplies I have requested in this project have had a positive impact in helping to foster their curiosity and love of learning. The Shapes Magnetic Tin has been such a huge success. This tin has enabled my children to have independence while playing and learning. They have discovered that there are more shapes than just the circle, square, triangle and rectangle. They have begun to notice that many of the shapes, even the hexagon and octagon can be found in their every day lives. The Treehouse Imagination Builder has been an excellent addition to our Where We Live unit. The children are now using it as an addition to when they are building with blocks. This has helped to improve their imagination and language skills. The Measurement Activity Tin has been used to assist children in comparing items and introducing mathematical vocabulary.
Thank you so much for helping to instill the love of learning with my class. We are so grateful for all of your support.”

Funded Aug 13, 2021Thank you so much for supporting this project. I believe that children are unique and each of them learn in a different way. But one thing is true for all children...they learn best when actively engaged in a fun activity. It is because you helped to fund my project that I am seeing a huge improvement in my students' fine motor skills. They are having so much fun while learning. The Creature Builder has been a huge hit in class. It is such a fun activity and it has helped them to use their imagination while they work on their fine motor skills. In addition, we have incorporated math and science in this activity. They are counting and describing the creatures. The Snap Bots and Snap Dinos have been in my centers most of this year. They are loving them and even children who at first didn't enjoy the dinosaur ones now have such an interest. In fact, I had to go out and purchase dinosaur books so that they could build and learn about the real dinosaurs. They are using their fine motor skills to take apart and put together these pieces and they language skills are improving. Many children are starting to create amazing fictional stories with them as we play together. Thank you so much for your support.”

Funded Feb 3, 2020This was an amazing project. Unfortunately, we were only able to use the manipulatives for a short period of time due to the school closings. We we e able to use some of the items and the students loved them. They couldn't wait to use the translucent dominoes on the light table. My students for very creative and used the translucent letters with flash lights. It was a great way to reinforce content vocabulary and the alphabet. However, the unfortunate school closing occurred so I did pack up everything so nicely so that next years students will be able to access them easily.
I look forward to introducing these items in the fall with my incoming Pre-K students. Thank you so much for these amazing items.”

Funded Dec 4, 2019Thank you for all of the support and generosity I have received. My students love the materials. I have to say that the biggest hit is the counting ice cream cones and the science view finders. They are amazed at how real the animals and insects look. After using these view finders we then go onto the tablet to learn more about them. This allowed me to open up the doors to curriculum that otherwise might have not been introduced. The ice cream counters are in our math center but now they also bring them into dramatic play. They pretend to serve ice cream as they count out the scoops. Thank you for all of the support and I can't wait to post the pictures.”

Funded Aug 13, 2019Wow! This was a great surprise. We are so lucky to have the support of so many people. Education is so important and to make it fun is sometimes a challenge. However, with your support my students are lucky to be able to be in a classroom that is fun and full of so many wonderful tools to keep them engaged and foster learning.
The tilt and learn sensory mazes have been especially useful. Some of my students were struggling in the beginning of the year, and this helped them to calm down so they could talk about what was upsetting them. Now I put them in my science center and it is helping them to problem solve. I am looking forward to using the giant magnetic letters in the upcoming weeks as we learn more about our names and letters. Thank you so much for all of your support.”

Funded Aug 13, 2019Thank you for all of your support and helping my students to learn and grow. We are so fortunate that you believe in education and in the project we created. We love the sensory rings and today we used them in a game on the light table. This is helping us to learn each others names and able to recognize all of our friends. We also love to practice our counting skills with the linking monkeys. We are enjoying school and learning and growing. We are gaining confidence and an appreciation for school.
Thank you so much for all of your support.”
