  • Biology Bonanza: Games That Make Learning Come Alive!

    Funded Nov 23, 2024

Thank you for believing in my students and supporting their learning journey. Your generosity provides engaging biology games that transform stressful moments into fun, educational experiences. Together, we’re fostering curiosity, teamwork, and a love for science. My scholars and I are deeply grateful for your kindness and investment in their success!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Dixon

  • Hearing is Believing

    Funded May 11, 2024

Headphones have been invaluable for my English learners and students with accommodations. They allow students to engage in personalized audio lessons, improving language comprehension at their own pace. For students with accommodations, headphones help reduce distractions, providing a focused learning environment. Even my students without accommodations benefit from the headphones. This personalized audio support boosts their confidence, enhances listening skills, and ensures they can fully participate in lessons, leading to better academic outcomes.”

  • These Notes Ain't No Joke!

    Funded Jun 9, 2024

Providing my students with highlighters, sticky notes, pens, etc., has significantly enhanced their learning. These tools enable them to organize and emphasize key information, leading to better retention and understanding. Highlighters allow students to easily identify important concepts, while sticky notes help them jot down quick reminders and organize thoughts. Pens are essential for taking clear, effective notes. Together, these materials foster active learning, boost engagement, and improve academic performance.”

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous support in helping us create a calm corner in our classroom. Your contribution will make a significant difference in our students’ well-being and learning, providing them with a much-needed space to relax, refocus, and thrive. We are incredibly grateful for your kindness and belief in our project!”

  • Take Charge!

    Funded Aug 5, 2024

Thank you so much for helping me keep my classroom distraction free!! My students will now be able to focus more on their biology lessons and less on their phones and social media. This phone holder and chargers will work as a pro for them to put their phones away! Thank you!”

  • Can You Stand The Rain?

    Funded Feb 9, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations. My students were so happy when they saw the snacks and water organized in the closet. My students are almost at the end of our Biology I bootcamp where we review for our end of the year exam.

Some of the snacks like the pop tarts, airheads, and hot chips where used as incentives for 100% participation and proficiency on our many standards. The rest of the snacks (ie. cup of noodles, popcorn, chicken salad) and water where provided to the students whenever needed.

Boot camp is coming to a close and just about all the snacks are gone! Thank you so much for your continued help and generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Dixon

  • Let's Ace Biology!

    Funded Dec 21, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations. Your generosity provided me with essential materials for my students. Some of the kids who did not pass their test the first attempt last year where able to use these books to help them study. With the help of these books we cut our retested list by more than half.

These books provided key concepts in words the students could comprehend and "check your knowledge" pages for the students to test themselves. Thank you so much for your continued philanthropy!!”

  • Anchor Charts We Can Recall!

    Funded Aug 19, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my students at this time. We were able to get markers, anchor chart paper, and other art supplies. These supplies gave my students the opportunity to have creative expression and learn Biology at the same time. They enjoyed these activities so much and LOVE to see their hard work posted across the room and in the halls.

These supplies also allowed be to create key information posters and "anchor" them around the room. This gives students in class resources that they can glance at and continue their in class assignments. Again, thank you so much for helping me be a better teacher for my students and giving us much needed resources.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Dixon

  • Clean Cheer

    Funded Dec 31, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donations. My cheerleaders and assistant coaches have greatly appreciated these materials. Our practices and pregames have been streamlined.

These materials gave my cheerleaders an organized and clean space to call their own. The cubbies, hooks, and phone organizer helped my girls keep up with the things they would normally lose and/or leave in the office on a daily basis. We practice hard daily. My girls have greatly appreciated having their own clean space where they can take a break.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Dixon

  • Hands-On Work

    Funded Nov 22, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donations! This printer came in highly conveniently! At our school, the internet is not always reliable. My students use a computer in class. In our district, most of the work consists of online/ virtual assignments. However, technology is not 100 percent dependable. A laser printer in the classroom gave me the opportunity to provide my students with materials without wasting time running to the community printer. Even though we love using computers, my kinesthetic students were still able to flourish. Again, thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

In Biology I, students complete online interactive lessons weekly. During those lessons, students navigate through interactive modules at their own pace. The lessons include music, videos, and narrations. Often it is difficult for students to actually hear and retain the information due to the lack of headphones. My students are sometimes discouraged in completing the lessons because they cannot hear. I also have students with accommodations who need text to speech options when completing their lessons. My students deserve to have everything they need to be successful in the classroom. Due to the pandemic, there is not a lot of sharing going around so I have to make sure each of my students have their own headphone. The headphones will give my students the opportunity to complete lessons without disturbing others at their own pace.
