Flexible seating will help all of my firsties to get their wiggles out while they learn. Students will have a choice where they would like to sit, just like they do at home. Flexible seating will help to improve student achievement. Flexible seating will give students the movement that they will not receive if we have to stay in our classroom for most of the day. The other materials I requested, will help me to implement flexible seating. Each student will have their own pencil pouch that will be hung in our classroom and book bag. The white boards and clip boards will be for students to use when they are not sitting at a table. I am going to use the sit spots to mark students spots on the carpet so that they are appropriately distanced. Lastly, I will use the dry erase circles at my small group table so that time is not wasted getting white boards out when we need them.
