WHOOOOO Loves Science - "Teach for the Planet"
Funded Dec 30, 2014When I told my students we were getting owl pellets to dissect they were really excited. Many of them have never heard of them before. After lesson on where the owl pellets come from very grossed out as many kids their age would be. However, after I explained that they would be able to find bones inside that and we could find out what their owl ate they soon changed their minds and wanted to do it right away. They are eager to dissect the owl pellets and ask almost everyday since the box can. We will be doing this in the Spring time when we learn about the different food chains.
Thank you very much for making a difference in my students' education.”

Funded Dec 19, 2014Words cannot express how thankful I am for all who donated to my classroom project. I was so excited to tell my students that we were going to receive brand new wipe boards, markers, and erasers. They were so excited and everyday they asked when the box was coming. When it finally arrived at our school they could not wait to use them. Every chance they get they are on these working on math problems by themselves and in pairs. My students are constantly asking if they can sit in groups and use the boards to practice multiplication, division, and any other math we are working on. Thank you so much for making difference in my students' education.”

Funded Aug 24, 2014OH MY!!!! WOW!!!! I do not even know what to say! I am at a complete loss for words. Thanks to anyone who donated. I am in complete shock! My students love to do anything with crafts and art involved. These supplies have come at just the right time for my classroom. All the cutting of funding has made the supplies VERY limited. When my students saw the boxes they were filled with excitement! Thanks again. Please continue to fund other projects for our children. You have truly made a difference in their education!”

Words cannot express how happy I am, especially in today's economy , that there are so many people willing to give a little extra to the future. I love my job and this will help me do it much better! In these tough times I am so thankful to all who donated to this project and being part of making it a reality for my students. I am also thankful that students in years to come will be able to profit from these materials as well. Thank you very much!”

Cutting into learning
Funded Feb 5, 2013I would like to thank you for your generous donation to my classroom project. My students will be able to experience things I would not have been able to do with them if it were not for your kindness. I cannot wait to share the exciting news with them. I know that they will enjoy this learning experience and take the knowledge they will learn from this lesson for years to come. Science should be a hands-on learning experience. Many times it is difficult because of lack of materials. You have made a difference in my classroom this year. You have donated to a project that will not only be a fun learning experience for my students but they will all be able to work in pairs. Each student will get to dissect the materials as in groups of two! WOW!
It was such a great feeling knowing that others are as passionate about education as I am. I know times are tough for everyone these days and every little bit helps. Unfortunately, many school districts are cutting back on funding for their schools due to the budget crisis many schools are facing. In these cases the children are the ones that will be suffering from this decision. I am so thankful that I will be able to bring a lesson like this to my classroom because of donations from people like you! Thank you so much for making a difference in my students education.”
