• Hands-On Learning! Help Make the Abstract More Concrete!

  Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. My students are qualified for special education services and often traditional ways of learning can limit how much information they can access and share with others. As their Special Education Teacher, my goal is to help all students feel safe and included in their learning environment. I also want my students to love to learn. Many of my students do best when they use hands-on materials for learning. This style of learning helps make the abstract more concrete. We will use these materials to make individualized and laminated visual supports. Thank you for supporting my students, we will use these supplies to keep learning fun and engaging!”

  As learners, my students do best with an opportunity to practice what they have learned and gain independence in a skill. This practice will help transfer their new knowledge to other areas and subjects in our school, allowing my students to be and feel successful.

  My students were so excited to receive these games. My students work hard and love to take time to grow friendships and work on social skills through playing games.

  After so much time spent on computers, boardgames are such a great tool to unplug and connect with each other. Our classroom games were well loved, missing pieces, and falling apart. These new games are so exciting, engaging, inclusive, and fun.

  Boardgames are a great way for all to participate in an activity, removing many sources of anxiety students face throughout their day. Thank you for this opportunity!
