  • Who Was...?

    Funded Apr 9, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous support in helping me purchase biographies from the Colonial period for my classroom. Your contribution has made it possible for my students to dive into meaningful research as they prepare for our upcoming Wax Museum project.

Thanks to you, each student now has access to engaging, age-appropriate texts that bring historical figures to life. These biographies are sparking curiosity and inspiring students to explore the past with enthusiasm and purpose.

We are truly grateful for your kindness and investment in our learning. You’ve made a big impact on our classroom, and we can’t wait to share the results of our hard work!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Watkins

  • Science Is Worth Exploring

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

I can't thank you enough for your generosity! Because of you, my 5th graders are getting to explore Earth's systems, properties of matter, and ecosystems in a hands-on, exciting way.

The moment they saw the new science kits, they were all in—totally engaged and ready to dive into learning. Instead of just reading about ecosystems, they're testing ideas, making predictions, and having those awesome "aha!" moments. These materials have completely changed how they experience science.

Next up, they'll be studying environmental changes and building mini-ecosystems to see how everything connects. None of this would be possible without your support, and I'm so grateful!

Thank you for making such a big difference—we appreciate you!”

  • Materials to Complete Science Observations!

    Funded Jan 20, 2025

I just wanted to send a huge THANK YOU for making hands-on science a reality in our classroom! The supplies you provided—folders, paper, cups, straws, and Clorox wipes—have made such a difference.

When my students saw all the supplies, they were excited! They couldn't wait to jump into experiments. One of their favorite projects so far was using the cups and straws to build and test structures. They collaborated, made tweaks along the way, and documented their findings—keeping everything organized in their new folders!

None of this would be possible without you. Your generosity showed my students that their learning matters, and for that, I'm beyond grateful. Thank you for helping make science fun, engaging, and hands-on!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Watkins

  • Learning Is Blooming in 6th Grade

    Funded Aug 3, 2023

Thank you for supporting my classroom. With your generous donation, I was able to purchase clipboards for my students to use to work around the room. My students use the clipboards daily when doing fluency timings with their partner and when they are working on the carpet in small groups or in intervention groups.

In addition to the clipboards, I used some of the funds for plastic storage containers that hold students materials, headphones, mouse, etc. This helps students stay organized with their materials and it keeps the mouse and headphones from getting damaged.

On that note, I was also able to purchase a new class set of headphones. Students also use these daily when working on iReady, an adaptive math program, as well as when completing listening comprehension exercises.

Another purchase made with these funds was on folders for students to keep their unfinished classwork in their desk. This is another way to help students stay organized and to help them keep track of their assignments.

Again, thank your for your continued support of education. We teachers cannot do this without you.”

  • Reading Challenge

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

This year was my first year teaching 6th grade. When I started the school year I did not have many books of interest to 6th graders. I had students recommend books that I could order and now my students have a variety of books that interest them and challenge them as readers.

At this school students read books and test on the books to receive points towards rewards. Having books available to my students to read during independent reading, or Free Read Friday, or for those who are fast finishers has been appreciated.

In addition to independent reading, students practice fluency pages with a partner and having enough timers for all students has made this process a lot more convenient.

Thank you for helping out our classroom this year through your generous donations. It has been very much appreciated.”

  • End the Year With a Bang!

    Funded Jan 26, 2022

Thank you for helping me to provide my students with the materials to make the end of third grade memorable. My students have been able to review 3rd grade concepts in fun and engaging ways through Fantasy Week and our upcoming Spring Training which will prepare them for our end of year tests.

Every year my team provides a magical week of fantasy for the third graders by transforming all of our classrooms into Hogwarts. Throughout the week students study herbology, care of magical creatures, potions, math concepts review, writing, and much more. With your help and support I have been able to provide this magical opportunity for my students.”

  • Ready, Set, Go!

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Thank you very much for your generous donations to fund my project. I was able to get pencil boxes, markers, colored pencils, glue, pens, pencils, paper, folders, and much more to get my school year started. Without your contributions most of these items would have been purchased with my own money and that puts a small burden on my family.

I love being able to provide my students with the supplies to be successful and to see the look on their faces when they open a full tote tray on the first day of school is priceless.

In addition to the basic everyday supplies, the binding combs and paper allowed me to make a handwriting, math and language work book for each of my students. They each have a whiteboard and marker that is also used on a daily basis for math.”

  • Reading Is Magical

    Funded Mar 22, 2021

Thank you for helping me to provide my students with their own copies of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. My students have been able to follow along as we listen to the audio book. They are all engaged in following along with the story and they have shown a greater understanding of the story than the students in past years.

Every year my team provides a magical week of fantasy for the third graders by transforming all of our classrooms into Hogwarts. Throughout the week students study herbology, care of magical creatures, potions, and much more. It is important for the students to have read the book before this week begins and with you help and support I have been able to provide this magical opportunity for my students.”

  • Time to Re-Stock

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

Thank you for your continued support. During these Covid times it has become crucial that students sanitize throughout the day to keep from spreading germs. With your help I was able to purchase hand sanitizer for our classroom for students to use when entering and leaving the classroom, and the sanitizing wipes are used twice a day to clean and sanitize all working surfaces.

In addition to cleaning and sanitizing throughout the day, I have provided every student with their own supplies to use so they are not sharing table supplies. These supplies are stored in bags and labeled with their names so they are not used by others. This has also helped in keeping my students in my classroom healthy.

I appreciate Donor's Choose and all the donors who help me as a teacher supply my classroom with the needed supplies.”

I have a classroom of students who love to learn. They come to school excited to learn every day. All of my students have already demonstrated great growth so far this year. My students are kind and caring to one another and they encourage each other. My students no longer say "I can't," instead they try their hardest to accomplish difficult tasks. My class consists of 23 remarkable students. Of those 23, three receive resource services, two are in speech, and three students see our school psychologist. All of my students work really hard and try their very best.
