    Thank you so much for your generous gift of helping my staff see value in teaching math for what math is. This project will align a majority of our staff to help teach math in a Figure-out-able way. My staff is starting to see the value in not telling students how to do a step by step procedure in math, but just showing them patterns where students can use what they know to figure out problems. Realizing that math is not just memorizing facts and procedures, students are now at a place where they're begging for more problems strings and strategies they can build upon. There is no gift greater than that! Thank you so much!”

  • Restocking the Student Store, Part 2

    Thank you for your generous donation in funding this project! Thanks to you, my students have a variety of treasure box goodies and snacks to purchase with the Quinto Cash they earn for their job well done in math!

    I work with students who struggle with math. Even at the right instructional level, they have difficulties in focusing and feel defeat quicker than most students. But with the use of classroom cash and a regular visit to the Student Store, I can see a change in students' attitude. The motivation at the beginning of the year is very money driven and short. However, I can see a deeper change as they push themselves with working with understanding number sense and intrinsically motivated to try their best from within. They do well, because now they feel like they want to, not because it's reward driven.

    Thank you for making student store and positive learning experience a possibility. Students love reaping the rewards of their hard work. Giving my students a variety of snacks and items to purchase has been satisfying to me as their teacher! Thank you!”

    Thank you so much for helping me fund this project! I am so grateful for your generous donation that made this project come alive for all of my students. Thanks to you, my students can have a firm understanding of number sense!

    Your donation funded math tools for students to touch and manipulate to support my students. Unlike other math manipulatives, the magnetic base ten blocks will help support my students in a variety of settings. It will be a vital part in whole group settings when I am modeling and demonstrating how to use base ten blocks. But most importantly, it will be extremely useful in our Building Thinking Classroom setting where students work collaboratively in rich tasks.

    Thank you for making this project a reality for my students. Math is often perceived as too difficult, something to hate, and a subject kids often give up on. But thanks to you, that is no longer the case. My students no longer feel afraid or intimidated. Thank you so much!”
