Readers Are Leaders
Funded Apr 1, 2021Thank you so much for helping our class get more books. My students go through six books each day and love having such a large variety to choose from. Each student is now able to choose six books every day and there are still plenty of books left in our classroom library. Having such a wide variety of books ensures that everyone in our class will find some books they will enjoy reading.
It is with overwhelming gratitude that I'm writing this letter. Without your help, my students would be reading the same books over and over again. Having a large selection of books helps keep their love of reading alive and thriving!”

Funded Jan 18, 2020I would like to sincerely thank you for your donation. My students have already benefited tremendously from our new headphones and privacy folders. The headphones and folders have helped them concentrate on their work, instead of getting distracted by their peers.
The most exciting part about our new headphones and privacy folders, is the students are very proud of them. They want to wear the headphones all the time. They are very careful with them.
The new headphones have been especially helpful to my special needs students who already have a hard time focusing. A few of my students are sensitive to noise, and the headphones have helped with this.
We are just so thankful for your donation!”

Funded Sep 1, 2019I would like to thank you for supporting our classroom. My students love to use the flexible purple chairs, stools, and clipboards every day! Every time we received a new package, their eyes glowed with excitement. Each new material was a surprise for my students. This month my students have been working hard writing narrative stories. Having flexible seating has helped them feel flexible to use their imaginations, and helped them feel comfortable while writing. Again, thank you so much for your generosity. This is a gift that will keep on giving for many years to come!”

Funded Sep 5, 2017Our class thanks you for the new materials that we received. We have already used the family related materials to enhance our IB unit of inquiry on families. Students were able to use the dolls to act out different family scenarios. We also used the puzzles to look at different kinds of families, in a fun way!
When I first brought out the materials, the students were very excited! They had been waiting for the materials to come. When they arrived, my students couldn't wait to open the boxes and get started right away. They very much appreciate your support of our classroom.
Next, we will be using the community helper materials to deepen our understanding. The students are excited to get started. They will be able to do some role playing. They also get to use the posters to incite inquiry into the role of community helpers.”

Ready, Set, Spell!
Funded Nov 25, 2014My students were so excited to find out they received Boogie Boards for our classroom! Each morning they are excited to practice their spelling words. They are very thankful for this donation to our class.
Every day my students have a choice of read to self, read to someone, listen to reading, working on writing or word work. They all want to do word work first. The students are doing better on their spelling tests because they want to practice now.
Because of your donation a lot of my kids are more actively engaged during reading. This has led to me being able to teach my small groups more effectively. The Boogie Boards have made even my lowest readers feel successful in spelling. We couldn't have done this without your generous donation.”

Let's Listen To Reading!
Funded Oct 6, 2014My students were so excited to find out they finally got to listen to reading. Each morning they are excited to listen to a new book. They are very thankful for this donation to our class.
Every day my students have a choice of read to self, read to someone, listen to reading, working on writing or word work. They all want to listen to reading first. Each week I am able to switch out the books so each student has a chance to listen to a new story every day.
Because of your donation a lot of my kids are more actively engaged during reading. This has led to me being able to teach my small groups more effectively. The listening center has made even my lowest readers feel successful. We couldn't have done this without your generous donation.”
