  • Through the Looking Glass Escape Room Adventure with Literacy!

    Funded Dec 13, 2022

Thank you so much for your gracious donations to our student project. Our students are super appreciative of any materials we get for special projects. Using supplies from donations allows us to partake in activities that we usually would not be able to have the opportunity to do.

The costumes were used for the staff and students to dress up for a special tea party with the Alice in Wonderland Theme. The tea party also had an escape room where students were to use supplies to solve clues. Once the escape room was solved the students received a book as their prize.

Thank you for helping make this event special.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Reeves

  • Bearded Dragon in Need of Some Love

    Funded Oct 25, 2022

My students come from an area with not a lot of funds to go around for them to experience all the extras. We are grateful for Donors Choose and the kind, generous donors that help our projects come to life.

The project for the Bearded Dragon was a success. Students named him John and are excited about caring for his needs. One of his needs is his food. Providing nutrients for the bearded dragon can be costly because they grow rapidly during their juvenile years. With the money from our project, we can provide John with the needed food for him to thrive.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Reeves

  • Community Service Grandparents Volunteer!

    Funded Oct 1, 2022

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kind and generous donation toward our classroom community service project with our volunteer grandparents!

We want our students to not only love school, but also support our children with a variety of experiences and our volunteer grandparents is one way to achieve that. By providing the volunteer grandmothers a comfortable area to sit, allows them to focus on the task of providing love and support to our students who need it.

The students are always excited to see what comes in our donors choose boxes and this one did not disappoint. This time our students were happy that our volunteers had something to open and use!

    Thanks again!”

  • Bearded Dragonologist in training...

    Funded Jun 2, 2022

Thank you for providing assistance to our school community through the monetary donations for our classroom pet. Our bearded dragon is adorable, and our students have already been involved in showing excitement and kindness to our new friend.

Our new bearded dragon is named John. Students ask about John daily and want to visit him to ensure he is okay and thriving.

One class has even started a research project to learn about bearded dragons and what they need to thrive in their habitat. Another teacher is looking to get another reptile so our bearded dragons can be social.

    We appreciate your kindness.”

  • Racial Identity for Young Learners!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

My students come from a background where they do not have access to a variety of books. The books they do have access to are not relevant to them because the characters are not people they can relate to.

The goal of this project was to gain access to books where my students can identify with the main characters with cultural relevance. Kids need to see and read books where they can visualize and relate to the characters. These books allow that to happen.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to give my students books that will help support their learning!”
