In my classroom, we do centers daily that revolve around mathematics and literacy. During this time, I pull small groups of students to do small reading groups with me. While I meet with a small group of students, my other students are independently working at their tables. If my students had access to these individual reading bins, I would be able to chose Just Right Books for them to read and to use in small groups. My students could quickly get their reading bin when it was their turn, and it would drastically reduce the amount of time it takes to get books into my students hands. Kindergarten students need Just Right Books to read to be successful in Kindergarten. It is very important in Kindergarten to provide children with books that are at their academic and reading level.
