Organized Libraries Get More Use
Funded Nov 11, 2023Thank you so much for the support of the library! We are able to organize the paperback book section so that students can easily find the titles they are looking for. The shelves made it possible to display the books with the covers showing, so those books will also be more noticed by the students. Your support has made this possible.
The small shelves are being used so hold smaller collections or books that are of special interest to students. Because the small table top shelves can easily be seen I plan to use one for our collection of books in Spanish and the other as part of a display for monthly topics like Black History Month or Valentine's Day.
This organization will help students and staff see the books in the library and increase circulation of these books because they are organized in a visual way, thanks to your donation of funds for these items.”

Funded Oct 6, 2021When the students saw the new books and supplies they were so excited! I had told them I would try to find some new Scooby Doo books for the reading center, and those have been a popular read since we got them. The Magic Tree House books are also very popular, so much that the students discuss amongst themselves (how exciting) and talk about which one they want to read next. We also used the Minwax right away in the parent gift crafts- A Grinch ornament to go with our Grinch reading unit. The binders are being used to do small reading groups that target specific reading skills.
The students are so thrilled to be back face to face in school and learning new things this year. While we work hard at following safety protocols, they enjoy working in small groups and being able to share ideas and questions with each other.
Our next project will be a penguin research report. The paper and crayons will be used to help the students show their learning through both written ideas and drawings.
Thank you again for the funding of this project, it is helping light the spark of learning in our classroom.”

Funded Dec 21, 2012Thank you so much for helping fund our project. The safety goggles have been used several times already by multiple classes. We did the bubbles variable project and were able to see the difference between regular bubbles and super bubbles thanks to you. This week we are using the graduated cylinders, again focusing on variables and how the size of the boat affects its capacity.
These hands-on labs would not be possible without you donation. You have helped make learning fun as the students use the science vocabulary and increase their knowledge and observation skills.
We truly appreciate your donation and look forward to using the materials again and again.”
