  • Culturally Inclusive Counseling Center for All Students!

    Funded Jul 2, 2024

Thank you all so much for funding my project! My students deserve all the love and care we can possibly provide them, which requires a safe space for them to receive the care we can give. Thanks to your donations, I can provide the most welcoming and inclusive space possible.”

  • Clean and Confident: Providing Deodorant Options for Pubescent Scholars

    Funded Dec 1, 2023

With your help, we were able to provide essential hygiene products for any of our 4th-8th grade students in need (up to 500 students). This school year has been difficult due to many families losing their homes, struggling to provide basic needs for their kids, and kids suffering mentallyand socially when they don't have access to hygiene products like deodorant and soap. However, because we had such a massive amount of supplies available, our office became a space where even more students felt comfortable talking about the challenges they were facing at home, because they knew they could ask for deodorant, feminine pads, toothbrushes, and more, when needed.

Your generosity not only afforded our students the opportunity to get hygeine products when needed, it also helped build more relationships between students and counselors.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Iggy

  • Food for Thought: providing protein based and healthy snacks

    Funded Aug 25, 2023

With your help, we were able to provide healthier, protein-packed snacks for 300-500 students. This school year has been difficult due to many families losing their homes, struggling to provide basic needs for their kids, and kids going hungry when not at school. However, because we had such a wonderful variety of snacks available, our office became a space where even more students felt comfortable talking about the challenges they were facing at home, because they knew they could ask for food, when needed.

Your generosity not only afforded our students the opportunity to get food when needed, it also helped build more relationships between students and counselors.”

  • Peer Counselors: Our Leaders of the Future

    Funded Aug 25, 2023

Our Peer Counseling program has soared this year, due to your kindness and generosity. The materials and supplies provided. By this DonorsChoose project not only gave our Peer Counselors easy access to our mediation tools, but also helped them learn how to maintain organization. The storage clipboards and padfolios provided options for the Peer counselors when doing Mediations and we had enough materials for them to keep separate from those available to other students, so they never had to worry about not having what they needed.

Many of the materials were also used to support the elementary classes they were assigned to. Overall, the funding of this project had the ability to impact nearly 1,000 students! We are so grateful.”

  • Counselor Care Center: Providing Health Essentials to Improve Attendance

    Funded Jan 25, 2023

This project has made it possible for students of all ages (particularly adolescents) to attend more school due to increased access to hygiene products. These items included deodorant, feminine care products, toothbrushes & toothpaste, lotion, etc. Without these items, many students avoid coming to school, so having them readily available at school truly makes an impact on student attendance! By funding this project, you have helped start our Counselor Care Center that will help our students for years to come.”

    With gratitude,

  • School Counselors Helping Littles Dream Big With Books!

    Funded Feb 3, 2023

Thank you so much for believing in our scholars and in the work we do as school counselors. We strongly believe that anyone can achieve anyone, especially the children we serve, can achieve anything and be anyone they want, if they have the courage to pursue their dreams (thank you, Walt Disney for some added inspiration). You all have helped us provide 50 examples to our tiniest scholars that no matter how big their dreams may be, they can reach them.”

    With gratitude,

  • Low-Income Pre-Adolescent/Adolescent Girls in Need of Bottoms for School

    Funded Jan 13, 2022

With your assistance, I continue to be able to help our adolescent female students in their moments of need. By having a variety of school-approved shorts, skorts, skirts, polo shirts, and pants available on an as-needed basis, I have been able to not only provide new school clothing to those who cannot afforf clothes that fit after growing out of old clothes, but also to those who unexpectedly got a visit fromn"aunt flow" in the middle of the day and would have otherwise either needed to leave school or continued through the school day traumatized and hoping no one noticed the red stain on their back-side.

I have also helped several girls avoid disciplinary consequences from wearing clothes or shorts that were slightly unapproved based on our school dress code either because those were the only clothes that fit, they ripped during the school day, or there were no other clean clothes.

Your support has truly made a difference.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Iggy

All students deserve to be fully protected from the COVID-19 virus and other air-borne germs, but the majority of our families cannot afford to continue purchasing face masks for their children. We (the school) only have adult masks available. Our littles (K-5th Grade) are already struggling to keep their face masks on, but without a proper fit for their small faces, their efforts provide little protection. Properly fitted face masks will allow students to feel more comfortable wearing their masks and decrease distractions caused by masks that will not stay on their little faces. Please help us provide for and protect our smallest scholars by donating to this project.
