Dress for Success
Funded Feb 9, 2017Thank you for all your donations to support my students exploration and learning in the classroom. The students are using their community helper costumes in our dramatic play center, acting out the roles and responsibilities of the people who work in our community. The students were so excited to see the new costumes that they wanted to try them on immediately. The next steps for my students is to talk about each community helper in isolation, so they can truly understand the importance of the people who work in our community. Thank you again for all you have done!”

Big Books for Big Outcomes
Funded Jun 9, 2016Thank you so much for donating towards this project! Since receiving this shipment of big books, my students have become thoroughly engaged in story time and literacy activities. Using the big books for story time has supported my students with visual impairments. The larger print and images help my students focus on what is being read. We use the big books during our whole group lessons. The children sit around in a semi circle, while I read. The children love when I bring out the big books. Especially when they help hold the big books. My co-teacher and I say they are so strong. They love it. Thank you so much!”

Manipulative for Mastery
Funded Jun 17, 2016Thank you so much for donating towards this project! The materials that were received are being utilized in our everyday activities. My classroom is set up in content focused centers. The math and science center is finally stocked with developmentally appropriate manipulative. The children were overjoyed when they saw the items received. Going further I plan to create activities using the manipulative to develop their knowledge of 1:1 correspondence, patterns, shapes, and experimentation of the world around us. Thank you again for all that you have done!”
