  • Tech for Tots

    Funded Nov 23, 2020

We cannot thank you enough for this extremely generous donation. Never in our wildest dreams did we think this project would get funded for our students and you have made it all come true!

The importance of technology during this pandemic is crucial to meet the needs of all our children. Our students were struggling to access daily lessons, resources, and live meetings with their teachers and peers. Now these laptops provide our students and teachers with face to face interaction to communicate their daily activities and share their authentic work.

Our students are more confident accessing and using technology since receiving these laptops. Their social emotional development is improving because they have access to engage in conversations and meaningful play. They are eager to participate and are ready for school everyday. We thank you for giving us this opportunity to use technology in and out of the classroom to reach the needs of our students and their families!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Iacono

The printer ink and chart paper is available for my students to print out things they research and to use in the classroom for them to grow. They were so eager to open the boxes and were shouting with excitement when they saw the new toys and manipulative. The light table is used daily in our classroom for when children want to pretend to be a doctor and observe the X-rays or when children want to build with our Magna tiles and see the different colors reflect of the board. The water table and stem kits are utilized throughout our current unit of study. We are so grateful for our new additions in our classroom. Thank you for always supporting us!”

By having photos of specific vocabulary, my students learn the meaning. They incorporate the new vocabulary into their everyday conversations. • Building a Community

    Funded Nov 1, 2017

Thank you so much for all of your donations. The community building blocks and vehicles have provided my students with the opportunity to explore and make connections with the community helpers in our neighborhood. They have been creating their neighborhoods and acting out the roles of the community helpers. My students have been sharing their personal experiences and interactions with community helpers. They have been using the magna tiles to build different structures. The magna tiles have improved their knowledge of shapes and forming 3d shapes. Thank you for supporting our classroom!”

  • Rocking Out in Pre-K

    Funded Sep 21, 2017

Thank you so much for your generous donations. My students and I appreciate the support you have given to our classroom. Since the instruments have arrived, my student have been exploring various sounds. They have been experimenting with the instruments and how to make loud and soft sounds. They have been able to differentiate between high and low sounds, as well as fast and slow. My students have been able to create musical stories by using a sound for characters in a book. Every time a character's name is mentioned in a story a certain instrument is played for that character. Thank you again for all you have done!”

  • Capture the Moment

    Funded Jul 17, 2017

I just want to take this moment and thank you for your generous donations. They have truly made a tremendous impact on our daily activities. My students have been taking numerous photos of their classmates and teachers in the building. The camera and camera printer has helped my students become confident in knowing the people around them. We take daily walks around our building to get to know who works in our school and where each classroom is. For Pre-K, it is very important for them to feel safe and secure. With the pictures taken, my students and I printed the photos and made a photo book of our school. During the first couple of weeks of school, my students have shown a huge improvement of confidence when they walk in the building. They are able to recognize and recall teachers names, as well as their peers. Thank you again for supporting my classroom!”

  • Hatch Away

    Funded May 10, 2017

Thank you for donating to this project. This has been one of the most amazing experiences for my students, as well as myself. All of my students truly had a complete understanding of life cycles and how living things grow and change. My students checked everyday, three times a day, to see if the eggs began to hatch. When the eggs began to hatch, they helped to prepare the brooder box for the chicks arrival. My students showed pure excitement and eagerness to learn. This was a great ending to their school year and was extremely special to share with their families. Thank you for your generous donations that have forever impacted my class!”

Thank you for your generous donation! My students and I were so excited to receive all our new materials. The new materials that we have received will be used throughout our remaining thematic units. My students will be learning about their environment, trees, and life cycles. They will be utilizing the environment theme box to expand on their knowledge of reduce, reuse, and recycle. For our next unit, my students will explore the natural tree rings, count apples on an apple tree, and create forests with their block trees. Once we begin our life cycle unit, my students will engage in multiple activities that are included in the life cycle theme box. Thank you again for your donation!”

  • PreK Prints to Support their Learning

    Funded Apr 4, 2017

We are extremely grateful for your generous donation to support our class. Our children were so surprised to see the new technology for our classroom. They immediately gravitated to the printer and have been asking to print out numerous resources, to support their learning in our current unit of study, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. The children love seeing images or activities they play on the computer, printed, and hung on our classroom walls for display. All of my students, especially my students who are English Language Learners, are utilizing the new technology to build a deeper understanding of protecting our Earth. Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Iacono

Many of my students are English language learners. Creating this project will make a difference in their participation in literacy based activities, as well as in other content areas. Preschool students engage more in hands on activities, which motivate them to explore the environment around them and to discover environment that is not common to them. My students enjoy learning through developmentally appropriate play, dramatic, physical, and social activities that support them on their own level. Our classroom is devoted to working together as a team and helping each other bring out our personal best that we can be. My students need manipulative and supplies that connect to the current unit or theme they are discussing in the classroom. The donations for this project will improve the interaction and motivation my students have for learning. Your donations are truly appreciated.
