  • Spring Motivation Boost!

    Funded Mar 25, 2025

Thank you so much for contributing to this project! Your donation will go a long way toward keeping my students motivated throughout the spring months and help us reach the finish goal in May. These items will be much appreciated and the students will be so excited to them in our prize box!”

  • A Little Holiday Joy!

    Funded Dec 2, 2024

Thank you for your generous donation to this project! This will allow me to ensure all of my students head into winter break with a little holiday spirit. I will be able to make them their own personalized cups and bookmarks as Christmas gifts. The snacks and prizes will also help them to stay focused as we finish up 2024.

Thank you for donating to this project. It had a huge impact on my classroom. My students have a late lunch and are often hungry by mid-morning. This results in students that are tired and sluggish or a spike in behavioral issues. These snacks were just the pick-me-up my students needed to make it through the morning with their bellies full and their minds focused. The students also loved the holiday gifts they received that were made with materials purchased via this project.

It has been long known in education that students can't learn if their basic needs are not met. This project has ensured that my students are better prepared for academic success!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hunsaker

  • Let's End the Year With a Bang!

    Funded May 9, 2023

Thank you for contributing to this project. The items received in this project really did help my students end the year with a bang! My students were so excited to receive these items! Each student was able to make their own tie-dye shirt and we wore them at our school field day. This really helped further foster our classroom community!

I was also able to send my students off for the summer with some fun gifts to remember the year and their class family. We also received classroom snacks that got us through the last part of the year, making sure they had full bellies as we finished up the year.”

My classroom is severely lacking in functional technology. We only have 4 student computers. Only 2 of them work and the other 2 run incredibly slow. In the past, I used these computers so that my students could electronically interact with books during their Listen to Reading center, which is part of our Daily 5. Daily 5 allows me to have my students in independent work while I work with reading groups on targeted reading instruction. The Kindles will be used to replace our outdated computers and allow my students to fully participate in the center which will, in turn, allow me to more fully focus on helping them reach their reading goals. Technology is a HUGE motivation for my students. Using the Kindles will allow them to use apps like EPIC books to read books that interest them, which is also a huge motivation. Most of my students come from homes that do not have the resources to afford technology. I want to be able to provide them with this kind of media as they are growing up in a digital world and will need to be familiar with how to navigate it.
