  • Lights! Camera! Wait, What Camera?

    Funded Dec 29, 2010

Thank you so much for your support on this project. My students are having so much fun snapping pictures of one another. It is such a pleasure watching them make silly faces and creating group poses for the camera. As soon as my students take a picture, they are so eager to print it out so that they can put it in their scrapbooks. My students have mastered how to use the touchscreen features on the camera well and they love it. This would not be possible if it was not for your generosity and warm spirits. Thank you again.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Brathwaite

I would like to thank you very much for your generous donation towards my project that included Leapfrog Tag Readers. When the Leapfrog Tag Readers were delivered to the classroom the students were so excited to start using them. There were many books that the students enjoyed, but there were some favorites. Two of the favorite books that the students are enjoying are Click,Clack, Moo Cows That Type and T-Rex's Mighty Roar.

Without your help, my students would not be able to enhance their reading skills with the Leapfrog Tag Readers. ”

  • Class Full of Students in Need of Space Saving Storage Unit

    Funded Dec 23, 2010

I would like to thank you for your generous donation towards my project which was a space saving storage unit. When the storage unit came in I was able to organize the students' learning materials quickly and efficiently. The students have much easier access now to the materials needed for everyday learning. The classroom also had more space for my students to move around in, now that there is more storage space.

Without your help, my students would be without a storage unit that helps them organize their learning materials that are necessary for everyday learning.

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Brathwaite

  • Learning with LeapFrog Leapsters

    Funded Jan 6, 2011

I would like to thank you for your generous donation towards my project that included the Leapfrog Leapsters. As soon as the Leapfrog Leapsters were delivered the students wanted to work with them right away. The game that the boys enjoyed to play is the Diego Animal Rescuer and the girls enjoyed playing with the Disney Princess game. All the students really enjoyed the Backyardigans game also.

Without your help my students would be without the Leapsters that they need to help increase their critical thinking skills. ”

I would like to thank you for your generous donation towards my project that included the Leap Frog tag readers. When the Leap Frog tag readers came in they could not wait to open them up and use them. This project facilitated my students in reading and comprehension. In addition the Leap Frog tag readers also helped them with learning about cause and effect, problem/solution, compare and contrast.

  • Help! We Need A Printer

    Funded Dec 31, 2010

Thank you so much for helping my class get a photo smart printer. My students were so excited when they saw how nice the printer looked. They could not wait until it was hooked up to the computer. As soon as the set up was complete, my students were begging to use the computer so that they can print out their projects regarding why they are amazing.

My students also practiced typing on the keyboard and then printing out their work using the printer. My students were able to see the outcome of their work through using this printer. In addition my students were able to see it in bright and vivid colors.

Thank you for your support. ”

  • Diverse Students in Need of Books About Diversity

    Funded Dec 15, 2010

I would like to thank you for donating to my project that included diverse books that were needed for a diverse group of my students. As soon as the books came in they were so excited to open them up and read about the different cultures that were around. My students were able to relate to the many of the books. My students were also interesting in other cultures besides their own.

Some of the books that they really enjoyed were Hats Off to the Hair!, The Legend of the Indian Paintbrush!, A Carpet For Kimiko, and Bright Eyes Brown Skin. In the book Hats Off to the Hair!, the students learned about the different varieties of hair and different ways of wearing it. Without your generation to my project, my students would be without the books necessary for my students to learn about the diversity of many cultures. ”

  • Drama Queens And Kings Need Props For Dramatic Play

    Funded Dec 5, 2010

I would like to thank you for your donation to my project. My students now have more materials that they can use in the housekeeping center. These materials can help my students practice skills that they need for life such as cooking, cleaning, and enhancing their social skills.

My students loved the realistic blender, coffee maker, and the mixer that they used. My students also sat around the coffee table and were having coffee together. My students also enjoyed using the doctor kit. It was funny to watch them give each other needles and medicine. I also enjoyed watching my students cut up fresh fruits and vegetables with the knife and the cutting board.

Without your generous donation to my project, my students would be without the materials needed for pretend play. ”

  • Creative Minds Need a Writing Center

    Funded Nov 16, 2010

Thank you so much for your generous donations. The writing center is the most sought after center in the classroom. My students are so excited about having an area to write without distractions. In the writing center, my students write letters and stories, they draw and color, and create works of art.

The writing center can fit up to four students. Now, I am able to work with students in smaller groups for differentiated instruction and give my students the extra support that they need in literacy. Thank you again for your warm heart. ”
