My plan is to use these tablets for students to grow academically in math, social studies, reading, and writing. "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, include me and I will learn." By having access to technology my students will have opportunities for student-centered learning and higher level thinking. I will use apps to pre-teach, teach, evaluate and reteach. My students can research, collaborate, and create unique projects while developing reasoning, communication, and problem-solving skills. They will be able to have greater freedom in their learning. When children are given choices in their own learning, they experience a sense of empowerment and perform better academically. My goal for every student is to succeed and with these tablets, they will be able to. You will be giving a third-grade child an experience that they wouldn't have had before. My students will get to learn how to be fluent in technology, and I will be able to design more engaging and rigorous lessons.
