Since we have tables in our classroom the students had to put their extra supplies on the floor. The space in the classroom is very scarce and we have to find innovative solutions. The seat sacks for the chairs was one of them, which you helped us with.

Thank you for your donation. The students are enjoying taking pictures of their work and sharing with family at home. We are also using the iPad to post work on Google classroom so that students at home can refer back to their work and practice at home.
We are also using it for being able to share videos of math problems or procedures with translated text so that our English language learners can also participate. Our diverse learner students are also able to practice work on our math programs and applications.

The carpet tiles are a great hit in my room. The students really love to sit on them around the classroom, because it gives them another place to sit other than the chair. It also allows them to sit with a group by creating a small shape with the tiles. We do math centers everyday of the week and the tiles are a big part of the centers. The students take the tiles and create a group with them that they will sit on and work together. When I first showed them the carpet tiles they were so excited and I heard things like "we don't have to sit in the chairs all the time now", "we can sit in groups on the floor with our tiles now", "I can stretch out on the carpet tile now like at home on my rug". Overall, all the students enjoy using them everyday and having that option to get another seating area.
Currently we are working on fractions and we have even used the carpet tiles as a fun way to represent fractions on the floor in the larger format. I hope we use the carpets for many years to come, so your donation will not only impact the students in this group but many groups to come!
I just want to start with saying "Thank you" again for the generous items for our class. The students have a special board where they take the instructions from when we have centers from the magnetic sleeves you provided. The teacher table has the bag with all the original copies and supplies that are needed for each center or activity we do in math.
The plastic organizers are so easy for the students to reach on the board with the needed worksheets for each segment of the class.
The plastic see through sheets cover the worksheets that each student gets to share and use when they need to practice their multiplication or division skills. They can use dry erase markers and we do not have to make multiple copies, so we save some paper in the process while still learning. We are very glad to have you in our corner of support.”
We were so fortunate to use the comfy seating options before schools were closed due to the pandemic. The students enjoyed sitting on the comfortable seating options while reading alone, doing a group reading assignment, completing a math center and even just taking a moment to relax and socialize.
The students really enjoyed moving the seats around the room and either sitting away from the whole group instruction or moving them closer to another student, and share a book or activity.
We were so fortunate that you decided to help us with our comfy seating options. At first the students were very surprised that they would even have such options as fifth grades, but they were eager to try them out and use them during the day as much as possible.”

For example, I would teach a mini lesson and after the lesson students will break out into small groups to complete the lesson. Currently in my classroom I do not have as many flexible seating options, but if you help me, my dream of providing my students more flexible seating options will come true.
Some students will have the opportunity to sit and work on the rug, some on the bean bags and other will sit at the tables, but it would be their choice.
