We Need Snacks!
Funded Apr 14, 2025THANK YOU for your generous donations to my classroom. The community share drawer is a well loved resource. The students appreciate that there are snacks available to them whenever they need them. The addition of not having to ask or go somewhere else in the school is perfect for students who wouldn't ask normally.
The snacks provided in this grant will supply the drawer for a few weeks. The mood is boosted and everyone is very happy. Thank you again for your donation. It makes a huge difference in the lives of so many teenagers.”

We Need Rainbow Looms!
Funded Jan 1, 2025Thank you for your generous donations to my art room. I am so excited to have these supplies for my students to use. They make the perfect basket for students who finish early and have extra time. I'm always looking for activities to keep the students busy and to continue being creative with their extra time while in the art room.
When I put out the basket of supplies the students were so excited and talking about how they remembered making the bracelets and using friendly loom supplies when they were younger. Its very nostalgic for them and they have been chatting about being younger and what they made in younger grades while using the supplies in the art room. Everyone is so happy to participate and make bracelets together.
Thank you again for you donation and bringing in the fun time to my art room.”

We Need Community Share Supplies!
Funded Dec 4, 2024Thank you for donating to my art room! The community share drawer has been an idea I have for my room for awhile and now thanks to your generous donations it is a reality.
The arts hallway is a long way away from the other resources in the building, so this drawer allows for students to help themselves to items that they may need throughout the day. I have included personal hygiene items, snacks, and hair ties. Already students have been using the drawer and are really excited about it. There have been a lot of thank yous and saying how grateful they are to have the supplies including the hair ties.
Without your support this would not be possible, so thank you again for your generous donations for my students. Have a Happy New Year!”

With so many materials and art supplies needed in the art room for an entire year, this donation makes a huge difference. Without the donation we would not be able to have purchased these blenders.

Funded Aug 4, 2024Thank you so much for donating to my art room. The art room takes a lot of supplies and our budget is tight. Having items donated to the art room makes a huge difference on the projects we are able to do and what we can spend money on. Thank you for choosing to donate your money towards my students and their creating.
With the paper shredders we were able to shred recycled paper to create new paper! It's a very exciting project that allows students to learn about color mixing, recycling, reusing, and repurposing. We plan on painting on our new papers once they are dry.
Thank you again for your donations. We have been having so much fun with the paper shredders!”

We Need Towels & Baskets!
Funded Apr 22, 2024Thank you for donating to my art room. Having materials that we can use many times (and sometimes year after year) is so important. After each class the art room need to be cleaned up and the students take ownership on cleaning up their own workspace at the end of class. The sponges and towels are so great to allow each student to have their own materials to do this cleanup all on their own without help from me. Also, having a big bin for towels is SO NICE! It may seem small, but for our tiny art room its life changing. Another thing that we are loving in the art room are the hooks on the sink for hanging our scrub brushes and extra wet towels. Thank you for making our art room function better and for brightening our days with your donations.”

Funded Feb 18, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donation to my art room. Without your support my students would not have access to these lino cutting tools. I am so excited to be able to give this opportunity to my students.
While my students are only in elementary, the access to many different art materials and mediums is so important to their development. I am so grateful to be able to give my artists the experience to learn new art making ways and to create and experiment before they move on to secondary schooling.
Thank you again for this opportunity. My artists and I are so appreciative.”

We Need Neon Art Supplies!
Funded Aug 15, 2023Thank you for donating to my art room! Without your donations we would not have neon paint in the art room. Neon colors are a school favorite with the artists in my art room. Everyone was so excited to use them.
We have started using the neon tempera paints with squeegees. The students have been watching videos of artists using a similar painting technique and are exploring their own style using the squeegees. Having neon colors to use for this project allow for students to experiment layering colors and finding new colors.
I cannot wait to use the neon paints for more projects through the entire year. Thank you for making our art room more colorful this year!”

This classroom project was brought to life by The SONIC Foundation and 9 other donors. We Need Yarn!
Funded Aug 8, 2023Thank you for your various generous donation for this project. The impact it has made in my art room is huge and I could not thank you enough!
We have already started to use the yarn. Students helped to cut all of the yarn into strips for easy use with our large loom. Now early finishers can come and add a woven piece of yarn to our collaborative school loom. We are also using the yarn as part of our STEAM stations in art class. The loom is a new station and students LOVE it. The yarn allows students to focus, spend quiet time working, and collaborate with their classmates. I have even had students helping each other out to teach each other how to weave and work the loom.
This yarn has provided a real sense of community in my art room. Students feel ownership in this project and are very excited to see how it turns out.”

We Need Wobble Stools!
Funded May 10, 2023THANK YOU for helping to fund the flexible seating options in the art room. My students are so thrilled with the new wobble stools! They are always such popular seating options in my room and are the first seats to be selected when students come in.
The wobble stools really help my busy students stay seated and focused when they come into the art room. Kids are busy and these stools help to put that energy to good use so that they can be the best artists when they get to work.
I appreciate your generous donations and couldn't give these opportunities to my students without you. Thank you!”
