  • Collaboration Cabin Cricut Collection

    Funded May 9, 2022

Thank you for contributing to this project and enabling my students to grow their collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking skills. We recently used the Cricut and supplies to create house apparel items that the students designed and ordered. The students were so excited to make their own sweatshirts and t-shirts. One students exclaimed, "My mom has one of these, and she NEVER lets me touch it!" They wear their items with pride knowing they made them.

When I showed the students the items and materials, they were shocked and excited. They couldn't believe they would get to make things with these types of tools.

The next thing we will be doing is our Store Project. I know there are many students who want to make products using the Cricut. Thank you for making this possible!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Potts

  • Collaboration Cabin Innovations - Part 2!

    Funded May 5, 2020

Thank you so much for contributing to my project. The tools you generously helped to provide have already begun to create a space more conducive to learning for all.

The organizational tools help students to feel empowered to quickly locate and utilize tools they need. The storage items have created more space for students to use. The seating and lap desks have allowed me to recreate the space available to my students and use in creative and innovative ways. The students love them!

Without you, there is no way I could provide these items and opportunities for my students. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Potts

  • Light Up Collaboration Cabin!

    Funded May 5, 2020

Thank you so much for contributing to this meaningful project. With these lamps, I plan to transform the mood and atmosphere of my classroom to enable each child to learn more effectively.

Research shows that students learn better when they are able to relax and feel relief from stress. These lamps will provide exactly this type of environment. They will create spaces for students to gather, opportunities to relax, and ways that we can use more gentle lighting rather than harsh fluorescents.

Without you, we could not provide this learning environment. It means the world to me and my present and future students!”

  • Collaboration Cabin Improvements and Innovations

    Funded Oct 28, 2019

Thank you so much for contributing these amazing new resources to our classroom! We use most of them daily. The cushions and lap desks have made student learning so much more comfortable and engaging. The students LOVE them. The Legos have added a sense of creativity and play to our math learning. The students don't even realize they are learning as they play. The fraction/decimal bars have added much needed manipulatives to help students engage abstract math concepts in a concrete way.

When I presented these items to my students, they were shocked, excited, and grateful. They immediately wanted to start using them and have self-managed the care of the items. My class this year has struggled with cleaning up after themselves and caring for items I've provided, but these items have changed all that and given them a sense of ownership for the items in our classroom.

Be on the lookout for more from our classroom! We have big plans for converting it to a more flexible and engaging space for ALL learners!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Potts

Right now my classroom has tile flooring and at times it is necessary for students to move to the floor in order to participate in lessons or group work. Students sometimes become uncomfortable which leads to distraction and disengagement. It is also difficult for some students to write in these locations. The cushions and lap desks would help students to better engage in learning throughout all parts of the classroom. In 5th grade, students spend a lot of time and energy learning to use fractions in real life situations. These concepts can be abstract at times for students this age. LEGO bricks and fraction manipulatives would be a great tool for helping me to make these concepts more concrete and incorporate fun into their learning.
