  • Color Printer To The Rescue

    Funded Jan 12, 2023

It is amazing how valuable it is for students who complete projects to see them in color. It is astonishing to see growth and although some students are still struggling to do basic math and read at grade level, they are proud that they met their goals for the year. In our school, we have a printer that prints in black ink. By having our own color printer we are able to print a plethora of photos as a memento of their work. It is nice to have a memory of a field trip or a project that they completed on their own or with their partner.

The most exciting function of the printer is that it has the ability to print photos that students can keep to showcase their accomplished work. For most students, it is neat to see a design of their work in color.

I have some students who are new to our school and our country and it is important for them to feel acknowledged and recognized as they may not have had the same opportunities that they now have at our school.

    Thank you for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Zwick

  • Supplies to the Rescue!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

This year has really been a bit challenging but you have made it more manageable by helping us with whiteboard clipboards that we use to practice checking for comprehension. We also get to store our math books in magazine holders so that we can get started right away. One of the neat things about students is that they enjoy sharing with others what they have learned. It is important to be organized and be ready to practice with struggling students in a small group setting.

My awesome third graders are grateful to receive supplies that they don't need to bring to school and they can keep in carts that we use since we do not have desks. They are excited when I let them know of what was funded that we can use to practice for a test.

As we get ready to begin end-of-the-year testing, it is important to keep students motivated and to get ready for the fourth grade. By having laminated multiplication, fraction, and division game task cards allows my students to quiz each other and review what they need to practice.

We truly appreciate your generosity and continued support.”

  • Care Snacks and Hygiene Are Always in Need

    Funded Sep 27, 2022

Thank you for being able to provide snacks for students who normally don't get to have snacks. It is really cool to be able to have enough snacks during special occasions. It is fun to be able to watch a movie during the winter break and enjoy popcorn and a juice. Having the opportunity to provide tissues that don't feel rough on our noses is a plus during this winter time.

Thanks to you we had enough healthy snacks to motivate students to try their best in their tests.

    We truly appreciate your generosity.”

  • Let's Begin Learning with Amazing School Supplies!

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

Having been able to receive book bins, anchor charts, and tissues was pretty exciting. One reason is that we have tables and don't have desks to put their materials in. The book bins really allow my students to quickly organize and put away once supplies were retrieved. Students are able to respond in the anchor charts and create visuals as reminders of what they've learned. This year we have gone through so many tissues and were glad they weren't rough on our noses.

It is important for all students to share their learning and be able to express themselves.

We are truly grateful in having you as a donor.”

  • Science STEM kits for Amazing 3rd Grade Learners

    Funded Sep 4, 2022

I can't thank you enough for allowing my students to use these fantastic STEM kits. It is most important to have children step away from a computer or device and do hands-on experiments or create things. I have seen a difference in students caring for our environment and starting with their needs in our school's community is key to a growth mindset. My students have been able to put together robots and see what they can do. It is exciting because not many students can afford these resources.

I am thrilled to have received the opportunity to have you as a donor and believe that every child needs creativity and excitement to learn.”

  • Keeping My Students Healthy by Reading About Themselves!

    Funded Jun 29, 2022

I am so excited about seeing much-needed progress in my students' reading. With Covid being a distant culprit, it seems like their interest in books has made a big impact. My students have enjoyed learning about their Native American, African, and Hispanic heritage. It is really neat that they are doing research and have been able to put their background knowledge and new content and shared their information with their peers.

It is truly amazing to see them blossom into better readers and having content that is part of them has really made a positive impact. As they are moving closer to being able to read at grade level, they are able to read to one another and compare how their customs are quite similar.

I have some students who are not leaving with parents or a parent and they certainly don't have the same support as other students. Thankfully having someone read to them has sparked quite an interest.

Thank you so much for helping us fund this project, it is truly been a blessing.”

  • Amazing Document Camera to the Rescue!

    Funded May 7, 2022

At school we have one computer provided to project a learning task, it is not always practical when we have access to a document camera and you can't move it around. It is important that I am able to display information and that every student is able to talk about what they are doing or how they are doing it. I am unable to play various programs at a time unless I embed those links to the Google slides to what I want to display. Even though we have a Smartboard, there is usually work that can be viewed but not manipulated the way a camera document is.

With the ability to have a movable camera document I can have students display their work from a laptop that I can easily move around the class. It is great to see my students have taken interest in completing their assignments and displaying them for their peers to see.

I have a few students who face learning gaps and therefore we have interventions in place so that we can have students work at their grade level. I have seen many students struggle to follow directions because they can't read. It is nice to see that all students are excited but the ones who have struggled the most are the ones who are trying their best to get chosen to display their work.

This in fact warms my heart and I truly thank you for helping me get the document camera. Thank you for helping me fund this project with your generous donations.”

  • We Need Some Healthy Nourishment

    Funded May 3, 2022

I had some students who didn't like the school provided meals. Unfortunately, those students didn't always bring lunch from home. So, the snacks provided helped those students. With the assistance of our counselor and weekend bags, we were able to ensure those students had something to eat. Other students gave to others whenever they brought extras.

I was excited to see everyone enjoyed the Rice Crispies and hot chocolate as well as other yummy goodies. There were truly appreciated by all especially when they had made great efforts in helping others.

I hope those students remember your generosity and pay it forward when they get older. It certainly isn't easy to work when you are hungry.

Thanks so much for the support by helping my students and I finish the school year. Once again, we appreciated your generosity. THANK YOU 😊”

  • Science books for Amazing Future Leaders.

    Funded Jan 12, 2022

These amazing books were a great addition to supplement science learning. With limited resources and only some available online, these were very useful. I still had some students who didn't have internet access at home.

Some of the content was on Matter and Ecosystem. Forces and Interaction. Stars and the Solar System.

With these materials, students who were unable to go online were able to discuss with conversations and assistance from the students who knew the content.

Once they were able to make connections with the content and with other reading lessons, I had some students improve. Not only were they able to see and talk about the content, it helped them increase their scores in the required standardized tests.

Once again we have all of you amazing donors to thank for your continued support.”

  • Practice, Practice, Practice Anyone?

    Funded Jan 11, 2022

This year has been quite overwhelming and thankfully with the generosity of amazing donors my students are able to use whiteboards and practice math and reading. My students are able to work in small groups and use sheet protectors to work on learning gaps or new materials with their partners. We have been able to create bookmarks for spring break and Earth Day. We received some great materials that needed replenishing and as a result we can visualize assignments and create exit tickets much faster. We also wanted to reuse and recycle and try not to use paper and that is when the dry erase markers came in to place.

We are very excited to be wrapping up the year and looking forward to field trips and graduation. We continue to use the cart to carry supplies and harvest vegetables that were sold at the Farmer's Market and some vegetables that are able to be taken home.

I hope that the memories they made will help them mature and continue to thrive. Many students don't live in the area as many come in the bus. Sadly many may not see each other in the same middle schools, but I believe that it was important that they got to use very useful resources and we couldn't have done it without your generosity.”
