  • Hands-On Learning!

    Funded Jan 6, 2011

I just want to thank you once again for your very generous donation to our classroom. The literacy and phonics games have added so much fun to our classroom routines. The students love playing the new games and are so engaged in their learning. The phonics fishing game has allowed students to build their early literacy skills while enjoying themselves. It has been such a pleasure to watch my students learn their letters and sounds in such a fun manner. They are becoming better readers because they're so engaged in their learning.

These games have also allowed my English Langauage Learners more visual and hands on learning experiences. These students have opened up more and are more willing to participate and take risks. Without your generous donation this would not have been possible. We are so grateful for your kindness. I look forward to contintinung to work with my students using these unbelievable gifts from you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Grace

  • Hands on Learning!

    Funded Apr 1, 2010

Thank you once again for your very generous donation to our classroom. With your generosity I was able to add a whole new level of excitement and learning in our classroom in both math and literacy. The students love the different games to practice and enhance basic skills in these vital academic areas.

The dough stampers are a huge hit with the kids. They are working hard with one another and becoming much more independent and willing to try to spell new words during both their center time and during writing. The math games have been a great tool to engage the students.

Thank you for making these wonderful assets available for our class. We are truly grateful!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Grace

  • Literacy Centers

    Funded Jan 16, 2010

Thank you so much for your very generous donation to our classroom. My students love the literacy games and are truly engaged when playing the different games. It was so kind of you to make this project a reality for my students!

My students absolutely love the I Can Spell Activity Mat. They are having a great time with their friends while practicing basic skills. The magnetic letters have also been a great addition to our classroom during both whole class activities and small groups. The students enjoy building words using the letters. ”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Grace

  • Do You Hear That?

    Funded Jan 13, 2010

Thank you again for your generosity. The phonemic awareness games have been such an asset to our classroom. The students love playing the new games and it is so wonderful to see how much they are progressing. My students are interacting with one another and helping each other learn while paying these games. It truly is remarkable to see them in action. The magnetic sound boards allow the children to work together which increases their excitement for the different activities.

The students use the games everyday and look forward to this part of our very busy day. While they are engaged I am also better able to work with other groups of students to improve reading skills. Without your generous donation this would not have been possible. My students are engaged and are becoming more literate because of you and for this I am grateful! ”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Grace

  • Help Us Reach Our Goals with an iPod Touch

    Funded Dec 29, 2009

I would like to once again thank your for your generosity and kindness. You have made a tremendous impact on our classroom dynamics and we are truly grateful! Due to the current economy many schools are facing severe budget cuts thus classroom supplies and materials are not readily available. This new element in our classroom would not have been possible without you!

The iPod has added a new level of engagement in our classroom. The students are thrilled when they are able to use the iPod to listen to stories. The students also worked on retelling a story using the iPod. Throughout this project they were eager to participate and share their opinions and knowledge of the story. The students are normally very quiet yet were so excited using the iPod that the project was a complete success. I was able to meet the very varied needs of my students using technology which made this a wonderful learning experience for all.

Without your generous donation this learning experience would not have been achievable. I look forward to using the iPod again with my students! ”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Grace

  • 3.....2.....1..... Action!

    Funded Mar 18, 2009

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. With your support we have been able to purchase a Flip Camera to enhance our learning experience.  The camera has allowed my students a very different and exciting learning experience.  The students often have difficulties expressing themselves in a written manner and  this has given them a new forum.  They love using the camera! So far, we have used the camera for two projects in our class.

Students learned about human activity both affecting the rain forest in both positive and negative ways.  Throughout the unit we studied both sides of the argument.  Students unanimously decided that we must work together to save the rainforest.  In response to their adamant position on this issue we created Public Service Announcements.  The students created PSA's and used the camera to film each other.  The camera was very easy to use and the students thoroughly enjoyed this experience!  They were able to use the camera to tape one another and then download the video onto the computer to edit and view.

We also used the camera to enhance our unit on Charles Lindbergh.  Students worked together to research the life of Lindbergh and then created interviews.  Once again the students were excited and engaged. The camera offered them a new learning forum.  They worked hard both in school and at home to rehearse.  The interviews came out great and the students were able to share their learning experience with other students in our school. I was so proud of them and even more importantly they were proud of themselves!

Your very generous donation has added a whole new dimension to our classroom.  We truly appreciate your kindness.  ”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Grace
