    Funded Dec 20, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting the RoboPandas with panda themed gifts to boost team spirit and fun! When the students saw them, they were so thrilled to have materials that represented their team mascot.

Having these gifts have been instrumental in allowing the team to be united and to strive for their best during team meetings and at the competition! These gifts helped generate excitement as they worked hard at meetings.

Thank you again for donating to our project! As they head into the Championships, they will bring some of these gifts to share with other teams!”

  • Building Robots With LEGO Education Spike Prime

    Funded May 26, 2024

Thank you so much for fully funding the "Building Robots with Lego Education Spike Prime" project. Having this valuable resource has been instrumental in bringing robotics in a hands on way in my classroom. The students have delved into robotic concepts and enjoying building and coding with this platform.

The lessons aligned with Lego Education Spike Prime have extended into other subjects as well. Working in groups has proved invaluable in bringing 21st century skills into the classroom.

Thank you so much for funding this amazing project!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Glus

  • Hands-on Makerspace and Computer Science Projects!

    Funded Apr 30, 2024

Thank you for supporting my classroom with fully funding this project. The materials from this have been used to implement Makerspace projects. Through such projects, they have a deeper understanding of the engineering design process where they ask, imagine, plan, create, test improve and share. The value of this process ensures that when faced with a problem, the students follow logical steps to solve the problems they may encounter in math and science but also in other subjects such as in ELA and in Social Studies.

I'm very appreciative of this opportunity to bring this in my classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Glus

  • Safe and Secure Handling of iPads

    Funded Jan 1, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom with the purchase of these IPad protectors. They have had a big impact in my classroom as the students are able to handle and work safely with the IPads. They have been accessing applications such as Scratch Jr. to code and create projects.

For example, most recently, the Kindergarten and first grade students planned and are creating Earth Day projects that encourage us to take better care of our planet. With partners, they loved to design and code sprites to behave in ways that were sophisticated. They are so proud of their work!

Thank you again for supporting my classroom with these protectors!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Glus

  • Classroom Essentials for the Makerspace

    Funded Dec 29, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom with essential materials to support the makerspace! These materials were so useful in helping students to create their projects. I was able to give the students an opportunity to follow the engineering design process to design and build. Giving students access to apply 21st century skills is invaluable as it helps them to work in groups to collaborate and communicate with one another. My hope is to help these budding engineers to experiment and explore many more projects to think outside the box to create and have fun!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Glus

  • Hands On Circuitry with Makey Makey

    Funded Aug 4, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to the project "Hands on Circuitry with Makey Makey"! I really appreciate your support towards STEAM learning in my classroom. As I help prepare my students for the 21st Century Skills such as communication, critical thinking, collaboration and creativity, inventors kits such as Makey Makey will further my students towards those skills.

My students absolutely love working with Makey Makey and how it allows them to be creative and understand complex concepts such as circuitry in tangible ways. They had so much for exploring and discovering ways to "play" and learn from Makey Makey.

With Makey Makey, we plan to have them connect it to Scratch.Mit.Edu to push their boundaries to uncovering new ways to work with circuits. Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Glus

  • RoboPandas Buttons

    Funded Feb 24, 2023

On behalf of the Robo Pandas team, I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation towards the RoboPandas Buttons for our team. Your support has made a significant impact on our journey.

It is through the kindness and generosity of donors like you that we are able to continue our pursuit of excellence in robotics. • RoboPandas Team T-shirts

    Funded Feb 9, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting the RoboPandas with a team shirt. Having a team shirt helped the members of the RoboPandas feel unified throughout the competition. This also helped drive home a core value that is espoused by FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Innovation). The core value of teamwork was a valuable theme this past season as the members faced challenges. However, together they were able to overcome the obstacles with teamwork.

Having these team t shirts helped thr RoboPandas ROCK!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Glus

  • Panda Gifts

    Funded Jan 27, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting the Panda Gifts project! Your support of this project has meant a lot to the RoboPandas! When the team attended the City-wide Championships, they brought these panda themed gifts to show their team school pride.

Having giveaways that represented their school mascot gave them a sense of support and additional boost to the team. This past season, they worked independently as a team but they were always aware of the school that they belonged to who had supported them every step of the way.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Glus

My students have an affinity for STEM, and this would allow them to deepen and broaden their understanding of technology. Students will learn digital literacy, participate in creative problem solving, become innovators and inventors and work together collaboratively through a technology based station which incorporates 3D printing and design software. The 3D printer will integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (S.T.E.A.M.). Students will develop 3D prototypes to test or solve missions. The missions that I will choose for the 3D printer would incorporate the following goals: -To prepare students to be effective users of 21st century technology skills. -To provide a media center space that encourages not only consumption of resources, but innovation. -To teach collaboration, problem-solving, critical thinking, experiential learning, project based learning and teamwork. -To offer students choices and alternatives in the creation of projects to suit their individual learning styles. -To allow students to explore interests and discover new areas of strength that could lead to future job options.
