New Classroom Rug!!
Funded Sep 6, 2023Thank you so much for contributing to a new rug for our classroom. When students found out that we'd be receiving this addition to our classroom they were beyond excited.
Now that it's here in our room they love having a new space they can go to throughout the day. They work with partners, do small group activities, and love using it as a reading space. It's become a favorite for all in our classroom.
Since the addition of the rug I've noticed more student engagement when they work in this new space. My students and I cannot thank you enough for your generous contribution.”

Funded Aug 20, 2019My students were so excited when the Stone Fox books arrived to our classroom. It is so much more fun to read an entire story, rather than just an excerpt from a book that is often provided in our anthologies.
We have been reading Stone Fox together in class and students do not want to put the book down. When our allotted core literature time for the day is done, students complain because they want to continue reading instead of moving on to the next activity/lesson. Seeing their love of reading and especially this story, makes this teacher's heart so happy!
There is so much to be learned from this story. Rich vocabulary lessons, character analysis, comprehension activities, thematic discussions and social studies are just some of the learning we have been doing.
Thank you again for supporting our classroom. We truly appreciate it!”

Funded Dec 8, 2018The students were beyond excited to receive our package of writing portfolios. Students have already been placing their completed writing into the portfolios and organizing them into sections: narrative, opinion, and informational. It is amazing to see all of their completed writing pieces in one place where we can note the amazing progress over time. As we continue to write students will continue adding their finished writing pieces to their portfolio. The smiles on the students' faces are priceless. I can see such pride on their faces and they can't wait to show their families the fantastic work they've done! Thank you again so much for brightening our year.”

Funded Sep 7, 2018Thank you so much for funding this amazing project for our classroom. The students absolutely love their new seats that we now have in the classroom. Students use the surf seats on a daily basis. They take turns with them and they look forward to their day for using the surf seats. Students use these seats when they are working in small groups on writing assignments. Other times students use them as a desk for their chromebook. They love to come to the carpet area and sit on their new seats while using their chromebooks. It is so nice to have an alternative option to sitting at a desk every day. These new seats have proven to be a fantastic addition to our classroom for both independent writing and collaborative classwork with peers. We can't thank you enough!”

Area Rug and Bean Bags
Funded Oct 31, 2016Thank you so much for your generous donations that helped fund our project. Our classroom has a new look to it and the students absolutely love it. We rearranged all of the desks around our new carpet. Students have the option to sit at their seat or come to the carpet during lessons. They love the option of being able to move back and forth rather than simply staying in one spot all day. Sometimes they come to the carpet for a whole class directed lesson. Other times, they come to the carpet in order to work with a partner or in a small group. I love hearing the student talk and conversations that go on when they are on the carpet.
The bean bags are another amazing addition to our classroom. They are in our classroom library and as a class we decided that it would be fair to make a bean bag schedule where every single person has a designated time during the week that they may go and complete their work on the bean bag. Outside of these designated times students may choose to read on the bean bags if they have completed their "must do" assignments. My students just love to read on the bean bags!
Thank you again for your support of our classroom as my students love the new room set up.”
