  • Reading Feeds the Imagination Year 2

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

I am so grateful for your donations and gift codes that funded this reading project. My students were so excited to see the new books in our classroom library.

I have a check out system where students can check out my books to read in the classroom or at home. Students love to check out new books.

My students read in class after finishing math bellwork, assignments, and tests while waiting for others to finish.

I love reading and want to instill the love of reading to my students. The more you read, the better reader you become.

I am currently working on projects to provide spacious desks, wiggle stools, and will be posting a new book project.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gardner

  • I Can't Learn When I'm Hangry!!!

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

I am extremely grateful for the donations and gift codes provided to fund this project.

I tutor students after school. By the time school is out, students are hungry. Thanks to you, I provide snacks for my tutoring students. My students were very excited when I offered them snacks and juice at tutoring. Students can now have a snack to recharge before practicing their math skills.

I am providing breakfast to students who are unable to pay for breakfast or eat breakfast at home.

Thanks to you my students do not worry about food during instructional time. I am currently working on a project to provide wiggle stools for my small group table so students can wiggle

    while they learn.”

  • Building Our Classroom Community With Spacious Desks Take 2

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

Thank you so much for helping me fund my spacious desk project. I now have twenty two new spacious desks for my students. We use these desks in many ways.

We pull the desks apart when testing to spread everyone out. The students have room for their privacy folders, laptop, and scratch paper without being crowded.

We also arrange desks as tables for group work like task cards so students can work together. My students are excited when they see a desk delivery and are proud to sit in a new desk.

I currently am working on a project for my last two desks. Once funded, every student will have a spacious desk.”

  • Building Our Classroom Community With Spacious Desks

    Funded Nov 3, 2022

Students are loving their new spacious desks. We are up to 20 spacious desks in the classroom. Students are able to store their belongings with their switch partner. They are enjoying having their own space.

When taking assessments on the computer, students now have plenty of room for their laptops and their scratch paper as well as a privacy folder. With these spacious desks, more students are wanting to sit in a desk instead of a table.

I am currently working on projects to meet my goal of 26 desks to provide a spacious desk for each student. Thank you for helping me transform my classroom into a home away from home.”

  • iLearning With iPad

    Funded Jul 31, 2022

My students and I were so excited to receive the iPad for our classroom. Many students remarked that they have never seen a real iPad.

I am able to use the iPad during my math planning meetings as well as my administrative meetings. The best part is that I am able to link the iPad to the whiteboard projector. I am able to walk around the room and keep students on task during our math lesson. I am able to work math problems on the iPad that project onto the whiteboard. I am no longer blocking the view of my students. I can also pass the iPad to my students so they can so the class their problem solving strategies that display on the whiteboard.

I am currently working on providing more spacious desks for my students and will be beginning a book project soon. Thank you for your continued support of my classroom.”

I am going into my second year of teaching in August 2022. I went back to school three years ago at 45 years old to fulfill my need to make a difference in the lives of children. This will be my second year teaching Math to some awesome 4th graders . Being a new teacher, I am still growing my materials and resources. I am working hard to incorporate more technology and differentiation in my classroom. My students are 9-10 years old. They love to learn when lessons are engaging and fun. My students are from low income households that can not afford extra supplies and sometimes any school supplies at all. I want to create a safe loving environment so my students can do their best. I know my students will be so excited to use these resources funded by donors this school year!
