  • Sensory Overload

    Funded Jun 13, 2023

Thank you so much for the generous donations to this project. The light covers in my classroom make such a difference in the classroom by filtering out the fluorescent lighting. I have not heard one student complain one time about a headache this year so far. The light covers also gives the classroom a more homey relaxing feel instead of an office feel which calms the students.

The new lamp is a great addition to the room . It gives off warm lightning. I have a desk in the area to offer an alternative seat for a student who just needs a break from others. It serves as a reset spot.

I am currently working on a project for a document camera to display work on my whiteboard. Thank you so much for your support.”

  • An Organizer’s Dream

    Funded Jun 8, 2023

My students and I are loving the new lateral file cabinet as an addition to our classroom storage this year. We are able to use the bottom two drawers to store extra school supplies and the top two drawers to store students records.

Each student has a file which they can store their tests and quizzes after their parents view and sign them. We use these as a resource so students can reflect on their progress and see their growth across the school year. My students also love filing their papers in their own folders.

I also use a drawer to store task cards for different math standards that we are studying. This is a quick way for me to grab materials so that we can increase instructional time in the classroom. Thank you for helping this project turn into a reality. It is a success.”

  • Ink Your Thoughts on Paper

    Funded Apr 22, 2023

Thank you so much for funding this project. The laminator is so fast. It cuts down the time I spend making task cards in half. This was especially helpful when making task cards for state testing boot camp. Now I have task cards for math that I can reuse all year long.

The bright fun paper made learning fun and helped me color code which group of students were working on which activity. It was so very helpful.

The students loved working together in groups solving problems. These colorful resources were engaging and fun.

I am currently working on a project for new supplies for the new school year. Thank you for your support.”

  • Wiggle While You Learn

    Funded May 9, 2023

I am so happy to announce that the wobble stools are a hit with the new students. The stools fit perfectly around my teacher table. My new students are loving sitting on these stools and moving around.

We are only into our first two days of school and students can not wait to start our small group rotations next week. I love seeing the excitement on their faces.

I can not thank you enough for your generosity in bringing this project to life.

I am currently working on projects for classroom basics to start off the new year as I am always striving to improve my classroom.”

  • Reading Feeds the Imagination Take 3

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to this book project. They came just in time to read after students finished their state math test. The students especially liked the Babysitters Little Sister books and the Babysitters Club books. Students were able to pick one of these new books to decompress and relax after their state test.

The mini flashlights were a hit for a fun over the top bootcamp to the state test day. We blacked out the room and did over math review by flashlight with our blankets and sleeping bags. The kids loved this and did not feel like they were even doing work. I am sure that the popcorn helped too.

I am currently working on some new projects for school supplies and an additional book project for the new year. Thank you for your generosity.”

  • Reading Feeds the Imagination Take 2!

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to this book project. They came just in time to read after students finished their state math test. The students especially liked the Disney Villain's books and the I, Survived books. Students were able to pick one of these new books to decompress and relax after their state test.

The sound machine was a life saver to help drown out some of the noise when our roof was replaced this spring. It helped me keep the students on task so they could stay focused.

I am currently working on some new projects for school supplies and an additional book project for the new year. Thank you for your generosity.”

  • Bringing Color to My Classroom

    Funded Apr 24, 2023

I am so excited about the new colored printer from this project. I have created many colorful engaging resources to use for teaching summer school. I have also started creating individual anchor charts for students to use at their desks for the next school year. This colored printer is a game changer.

The new pencil sharper sharpens pencils in a matter of seconds and will save me so much time. I know my students will love these new resources for our classroom.

I am so grateful for your donation. I am currently working on a project for sensory materials for my classroom and for a new reward system for the new school year”

  • Making Math Matter with MacBook!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

I can not thank you enough for supporting my MacBook project. Since bringing this computer into my classroom, I have created engaging lessons for my students in half the time. This computer is so fast that it has given me more time to work one on one with students and in small groups. Tasks can be completed quicker than I ever imagined.

Thank you for supporting my learning and my students learning, we are very grateful to receive such a grand gift. The Mac Book has provided my with numerous opportunities to develop curriculum and support my learning.”

  • Fraction Frenzy

    Funded Dec 31, 2022

My students were so excited to receive the fraction manipulatives. We are so appreciative of your help in funding this project.

The manipulatives really gave a concrete visual for students so they could understand fractions more clearly. The manipulatives really helped my special education students when working on adding and subtracting fractions as well as multiplying fractions.

Currently, I am working on a project for wobble stools for my small group table as our current small group chairs are flimsy. I am also working on a project for my last two desks so that all of my students have a spacious desk to work on.”

  • Multiplication Madness!

    Funded Jan 1, 2023

I am grateful for your generosity that funded this project. My students were so excited to receive the math task cards with power pen.

We are utilizing the task cards during centers. I can assign a student task cards based on what math skill they need to practice. For instance, if a student is struggling with their multiplication facts, students can use the multiplication cards with power pen to check their answers. If they answer correctly, the pen will light up yellow. While they are practicing, I can pull students to my table for remediation.

These task cards with power pens are definitely a

success. My current project is for wiggle stools to use at my teacher table so students can wiggle while they learn.”

I am going into my second year of teaching in August 2022. I went back to school three years ago at 45 years old to fulfill my need to make a difference in the lives of children. This will be my second year teaching Math to some awesome 4th graders . Being a new teacher, I am still growing my materials and resources. I am working hard to incorporate more technology and differentiation in my classroom. My students are 9-10 years old. They love to learn when lessons are engaging and fun. My students are from low income households that can not afford extra supplies and sometimes any school supplies at all. I want to create a safe loving environment so my students can do their best. I know my students will be so excited to use these resources funded by donors this school year!
