Hearing What We Want to Hear
Funded Apr 12, 2021I want to take this time to let you know how awesome you are. It was a challenge to keep students motivated during virtual instruction, but with your help it was accomplished.
Students need motivation to learn and the best way to do that is by making them feel valued and teach with their interest in mind.
Kids, now a days, are very technology savvy so it is important to integrate technology tools in our lessons to keep them focus.
Thank you for helping me make a difference in a child's life.”

Funded Mar 23, 2021I want to take this time to let you know how awesome you are. It was a challenge to keep students motivated during virtual instruction, but with your help it was accomplished.
Students need motivation to learn and the best way to do that is by making them feel valued. I used the stickers to make them aware how important they were to me and others. I continue to work on collecting donations for my class t-shirts, but I am sure that people like you will make that happen. Thank you for helping me make a difference in a child's life.”

Funded Dec 19, 2020Thank you for your generosity. It is people like you that help teachers make a difference in students' lives. All these materials will help my students strive through this pandemic. I decided to include laminating sheets to allow my students to use manipulatives that will be easy to clean and disinfect. I also included a flexible floor seat for myself. Reading is a fundamental skill that nurtures the love for learning and develops languages skills. This seat will allow me to be at their eye level improving their focus and attention.”

Crafting Our Way Through PK
Funded Dec 2, 2020Thank you very much for your generosity. These material will make a big difference in my classroom. My students will have the opportunity to create arts and crafts to expand their creativity and imagination. They will be learning about the letter of the week, monthly theme and phonological awareness. The Cricut Machine will save me time by cutting all craft templates at once instead of by hand. We will also be making Mother Day's Cards for students to give as presents. Both my students and I will benefit from such amazing supplies.”

Funded Dec 2, 2020I am so thankful for all of your donations. The materials purchased were great help in these difficult times. With your support, I was able to create my students' own space. These will be great for keeping social distance. They will each have their own section with a plexiglass and their at-your-seat storage sack. The sack allows for them to store their individual supplies without taking space from our classroom. It is a great way to organize and provide students with supplies. Good use of classroom space is of extreme importance right now during the pandemic and these sacks are great in doing that.”

Funded Nov 14, 2020I am so thankful for all of your donations. The materials purchased were great help in these difficult times. With your support, I was able to start creating my students' portfolios. These will be a great keepsake for parents. They will contain work samples where parents will get to see their child's improvement and special moments at school. At their age, this is something that parents really cherish. I even got to make them their own personalized water bottles. The great thing about these materials is that they can be used for multiple things. I am also planning on creating them t-shirts so they can all feel part of my class, both virtual and in-person students.”

Funded Oct 22, 2020My students and I are very thankful for your generosity. You have given my students the opportunity to experience working with books. Books expand children knowledge by developing vocabulary, concepts of print, and help kids imagine, explore and create. Through the use of books kids get to stimulate their minds and start to imagine. When reading your mind gets trigger and starts to picture what is being said in the story. Your mind starts to create the place, characters and different situations with the information provided. This strengthens your mind muscle. You teach your mind discipline and concentration. It is important to have good imagination because it leads to creativity and invention. It makes you wonder and come up with solutions for different situations, as well as make predictions. It helps you answer the how and why of things to better understand your surroundings.
In class, kids even get to be authors and illustrators by creating class books related to our curriculum themes. Their social skills are improved with the use of books and stories. They get to have fun and be kids.”
