The Sequoia Program at Crownhill Elementary is a behavioral intervention and mental health therapy site within the Bremerton School District. The Sequoia program at Crownhill is the only behavioral intervention classroom at the elementary level within Bremerton County. We work with elementary students with social/emotional needs in the school setting. Some of our students also receive special education, speech, or occupational therapy services. Our program currently holds twelve students who are supported by a special education teacher, a para educator, and three mental health workers. As a team, we work hard to help children build strategies to cope with traumatic events and decrease extreme behaviors.
