Stools and Mice
Funded Feb 6, 2021Thank you for your donation to help provide materials for our classroom. With your donation we were able to purchase stacking stools for the teacher table and wireless mice for students to use with their school chomebooks.
The stacking stools are very helpful for the students to have a spot to sit at the teacher table. The stools stack very easily which helps with saving space in the classroom. The stools also slide under the table when not in use which helps to save space in the classroom. The students really like the stools because it gives them a different seating option from their typical classroom chair.
The wireless mice are very helpful and useful for the students to do school work on their school chromebooks. The wireless mice make navigating their reading and math assignments on the chromebook much easier.”

Tables & Technology
Funded May 5, 2020Thank you so much for your donations. With your help we were able to purchase two whiteboard marker kidney shaped tables for our classroom. When the students first saw the tables they were surprised and excited to use them. The students love working at these tables and using their white board markers to show their work right on the table. In math students work out their math problems instead of needing to use scratch paper. For spelling students sort their spelling words into categories writing them right in the table. These tables will be used for many years to come. Thank you again so much.”

This classroom project was brought to life by SONIC Drive-In and 2 other donors.Flexible Seating
Funded Dec 14, 2019Thank you so much for your amazing donations. With your help we were able to purchase four lap desks and ten stools. The students have been enjoying the use of the lap desks to work on the floor during math and reading. Students are able to sit closer to the board so they can see better and have better focus on their learning. The lap desks are the perfect size for our math workbooks and reading sheets. The stools work great at our teacher tables. We are easily able to fit five chairs around each teacher table and they slide in under the table, out of the way to make clearer paths for moving around the room. Thank you again for all of your help.”

Technology Accessories
Funded Feb 14, 2019Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom Donors Choose project. With your donation we were able to purchase wireless mice, tangle free earbud storage cases, and batteries. The wireless mice have helped the student be able to navigate their school funded chrome books to do president research projects, online math practice with Xtramath and Think Central, online reading practice with Wonders ConnectEd and Epic, and taking online assessments such as STAR and the Forward State testing. The tangle free ear bud cases are a hit with our students. The students and teachers love that we do not spend precious instructional time untangling ear buds. The batteries have been used to power the wireless mice. Thank you again for your donation. We really appreciate it”

Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you so much for your donation to my project. With your donation I was able to get four ipads with cases. My students use these ipads every day to improve their math, spelling, phonics, and reading skills. The ipads allow my students to learn and practice skills at their level. Using the ipads for independent work time allows me to challenge each and every student at the level they need and push them to grow their learning. We have recently started working on learning about coding and the ipads have allowed us to better understand how coding works.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Ripple.Snacks to Recharge
Funded May 18, 2017Thank you so much for the snacks for our classroom. We enjoy eating them each day during our milk break time. They give our bodies lots of energy so our brains can work hard at learning new things. The students cheered and oohed and awed when they saw the boxes enter the classroom. The students most popular choice is the goldfish crackers.
Currently in math we are learning how multiplication and division are related. We have introduced the 5s and 2s. In science we are learning about forces in motion. In reading we are reading a story called The Trial of Cardigan Jones. In writing we are learning how to use thinking maps to organize our 8 different types of thinking.
Thank you again for your support and donation toward the snacks for our classroom.”

Funded Sep 6, 2016Thank you for all of your generous donations. With your support I was able to purchase three wobbly stools as alternative seating options for my students. These stools allow my students to move back and forth and side to side as they are working. Research shows that this type of movement is very helpful for some students to be able to focus and concentrate more while they are completing their work. My students are very thankful for your help. We would like to wish all of you a happy holiday season.”

Growing My Classroom Technology
Funded Oct 2, 2015Thank you so much for your donation to our donors choose project. With your help we were able to purchase 5 tablets for our classroom. Now we have a tablet for each student that works in the classroom. Students are able to use these tablets in the special ed. room to help with writing projects with speech to text apps and spell checking apps, with free time break apps, and to track their behavior and schedule throughout the day. Since there are enough tablets for each student the students are able to take the tablets with them to their classrooms and all throughout the school so they can access these same apps that help them while in the special ed. room. With this ability the students are able to be more included with their peers throughout the school. Thank you for your help to make this happen.”

iPad Minis and Cases for Social and Academic Learning
Funded Dec 12, 2014Thank you for donating to my Donors Choose project. The students are so grateful to have two more technology resources in the classroom. We use the mini iPads daily to research information for our science and social studies units, to access social skill and autism apps to help with our day, and to play educational games for sensory break time. Having these resources is very helpful to provide two more technology workstations so that students can do individual research. Thank you again for your donations. We really appreciate it.”
