I want my students to be comfortable in my classroom. I want them to utilize all different seating arrangements. The ball chairs allow for movement and increase focus. The lap desks will allow my students to work practically anywhere in the room. I want to give them freedom of choice as to where they do their work. I would like the headphone adapters because I have a class set of headphones that we can't use and the kids can't afford new headphones. Then, each student can work at his or her own pace on computer assisted instruction.
I want to teach my students that learning can happen anywhere and everywhere. I don't want them to feel like they have to sit at a desk for 6 hours a day. I want them to get up, move, and be flexible where they work. I've found this works already by using bed risers under desks to allow students to stand while working. They love it and some will stand all day! I want my students to be able to choose where to sit and be comfortable while they are working. This will increase focus and academics at the same time!
