My students need four Amazon Fire Tablets with cases to use during our literacy centers. Studies show that reading in first grade is extremely important in a student's educational career. Having access to tablets allows my first graders to own their learning. Students will be using these tablets during our literacy centers time. Tablets in the classroom will offer additional learning options for my students. Students will have the opportunity to choose the topic of their interest, along with how they want to learn it. They can either read a book, listen to a book or interact with a book through games that reinforce reading skills. In addition, tablets provide a way to reach a student's individual learning style and reading level and reinforces 21st Century technology.
