  I cannot express my appreciation enough to all of my donors! This new Elmo will help aide in my teaching and students learning for years to come.

  For those of you who don't know what an Elmo is, it's like a magical document camera that shows any paper or book up on a screen for the entire class. Students love to show their work! It helps not only learn from one another but learn different strategies as well. I use my Elmo in every subject throughout the day.

• A CHAIRful Start to Kindergarten!

  I can't begin to thank you for your incredible donation to my Donors Choose project! My new chair pockets have been used daily. We use them to hold our work folders (activities we are working on), our white boards and our notebooks/journals. Without these, organization would be a huge issue! In Kindergarten, organization is KEY!!!

  My students love using their chair pockets! They take care of them well and always make sure they are correctly placed on top. Every couple of weeks, they clean them out so they don't get too heavy!

  Without your help, my students wouldn't have been able to use these incredible tools for learning!”

• Resources for KinderCobras

  I have so much gratitude for your support of my project. Teaching is so very different from when you and I were in the classroom. My school is very diverse and there are many different styles of learning. Using my Teachers Pay Teachers gift card, I have been able to purchase may different activities, games and supplemental learning resources that I will not only be able to use this year but for years to come. One of the best resources I purchased was a "bundle" of phonics letter activities. This will help my students throughout the entire year! Using these resources keeps our teaching more technologically savvy and fun too!”

• It's Easel To Read And Write Together!

  My students and I are so fortunate to have these wonderful additions to the classroom. The easel finally lets me put big books up for display easily. I use chart paper on it daily for our morning message and my students come up to write on it too! It makes teaching and learning more interactive. My students watched in awe when I opened the boxes of bean bag chairs. They were so excited to use them in our classroom library! A simple "thank you" isn't enough! It added a more welcoming environment to our classroom community.”

• A Pocket Full of Smarties!

  While my new students have not been able to yet use the awesome seat sacks, they will be soon! They will be so helpful as each student will have their own space to place materials, books, journals, mathematics tools, etc..

  In this crazy time of covid, It is imperative that my students have their own space and that they are not sharing manipulative and tools. This will definitely help with that!

  I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your continued support of my kindergarteners! I'm looking forward to seeing them be used soon!”

• Morning Binders & Listening to Grow!

  My kids absolutely loved using the new headphones and morning binders. They were ecstatic when I showed them the new markers, binders and headphones too! I was able to do some small groups at the end of the year to introduce the binders to everyone. The students were very lucky to use them at the end of the year last year and my new kindergarteners will be starting to use them soon! I am excited to introduce everything all over again. I appreciate everyone's support more than you know!

• What's Cooking in Kindergarten!

  My kindergarten students were so thrilled when they saw the new kitchen play-set! When they saw that we also had new pots and pans, fruits and vegetables, and place settings to go with it, I think they were blown away! One of my students shouted, "It all looks so real!" while another one said "I can't wait to use it all!"

  The students are using our new play-set in so many ways. They are most enjoying them at play time. My entire class wanted to play in the "kitchen" area! Of course, they have to share! They can not only use it to just play with, but use it to play restaurant, go shopping (with using my register) and practice setting the table. In reading, our fruits and vegetables will be used during our unit on food. I am going to be researching other ways to maximize the new materials as well!

  This funding of this project has really helped my students learn how to work together (setting the table, cooking, sharing tools, etc.) They are using their imagination to make the most in this creative play! It has been so much fun to watch!”
