School Supplies for 5th Grade
Funded Jan 13, 2025I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous donation to our classroom. Your contribution will make a tremendous impact on my students' learning experiences and their overall growth.
With your support, we will be able to provide the necessary supplies for our students. The binders and dividers will be invaluable in helping them keep their handouts safe and organized. This will allow them to easily refer back to important information when needed and teach them the importance of staying organized for the long run.
Additionally, the guided reading strips and highlighters will greatly benefit those students who struggle with reading. They will be better able to keep their place and identify key words and phrases. Being able to mark up and take notes in their reading textbooks will significantly improve their comprehension and confidence.
Many of our students come from low-income neighborhoods and often lack the necessary supplies for enrichment activities and lessons. Thanks to your kindness, we will be able to provide them with essential items such as scissors, crayons, colored pencils, erasers, glue sticks, colorful pens, index cards, and binder rings. These supplies will enable our students to fully participate in classroom activities and achieve academic success.
Your generosity will truly make a difference in the lives of my students. On behalf of our entire class, thank you for your support and commitment to education.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Fernandez
Math Manipulatives for 5th Grade
Funded Aug 14, 2024Special thanks for all of your support. Thanks to you, we were able to meet our goal! The donations you gave provided my students some well needed manipulatives! My students depend on manipulatives to help them understand concepts.
We have been using these manipulatives during our math and small groups period. This month, we are working on fractions! The fraction magnets have been especially useful in helping students visualize what they would look like. My students love using the handheld whiteboards! We use them for multiple choice options to have provide the entire class with the opportunity to participate. We used them during our classroom Halloween party. We were playing a Halloween themed figurative language game. They became very competitive and loved the experience.
The shapes will be used in a few months when we begin our lessons in 2D and 3D shapes. We look forward to the rest of the school year! Thank you!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Fernandez
