• Hygiene for Health!

  Thank you so much in your support in getting our students the personal hygiene items they need!

  Most children are often scared or ashamed to ask for a personal hygiene item that they need for home. Many families struggle to afford these items. It was extremely important, that with their changing bodies, our students had all the hygiene products they required.

  Because of your donation, we were able to create a basket of hygiene products that the students could take at random. The students know they never need to ask us for them; they can simply come, take them from the basket and put them in their backpack. Thank you for helping our students feel secure in themselves!”

• Headphones Helping Scholars

  Thank you so much for your donation to give each child headphones, in our class. The students loved them!

  Luckily for us, each child has their own Chromebook, in our classroom. They did not have their own headphones. Headphones are so important because students engage in personalized instruction on their Chromebooks. If they do not have headphones, students all hear each others instruction and cannot focus.

  Since having these headphones, the students have been able to engage in personalized instruction. Our ELL students are also able to listen to books in order to learn to speak and read in English.”

• Printing Perfection

  Thank you so much for your amazing donation!

  Because of you our class has been able to complete work based on their own individual needs! In math we started something called station teaching whereas the students move around every 15 minutes to different centers. One group does personalized instruction on computers, one groups meets with teacher 1 to do that day's lesson and the last group meets with teacher 2 to reteach the previous lesson. Teacher 2 always needs to print teacher made materials to get this done. This printer has made that possible! The students love the new way of learning and their scores are improving! Thank you!”

• Modern Kids Modern Topics!

  Thank you so much for your amazing donation! Our students have loved the Scholastic News subscription. They are really learning about current events and history! They look forward to reading their magazine and cheer when they know it's Scholastic News Day!

  Did you know that our Scholastic News subscription comes with an online component as well? The online component allows us to display the magazine on the smart board, as we share the magazine together. There are videos for the articles! The students love the videos and you'll hear oooooohhhh ahhhhh, the whole time they play.

• Solve Problems and Socialize!

  The second we unboxed the board games for our students, the amazing sigh of happiness was something any teacher loves to hear! The students were so excited to see such an amazing gift for our class! We immediately took them out and different groups were given board games to put together. We (the teachers) learned so much about the students immediately from this activity. We have a child who struggles to read and write anything but this child was able to put together 3 board games together in the time it took everyone to put together one. It was quite amazing to watch. Thank you for all of your support!”

• More Groups More Help!

  Thank you so much for your wonderful donation! With your help we have been able to do parallel teaching within our classroom. Parallel teaching allows two teachers to split a class in two. Both teachers work on the same lesson but in different ways. I am able to scaffold my lessons greatly to meet the needs of our struggling students. Because of this, those struggling students are no longer struggling! It's been an amazing experience that the students have really loved and grown from! Thank you so much for your help with this!”

• Fun Books Fun Reading!

  Thank you so much for your amazing donations! Our students are fascinated by and so engaged in their new books.

  Our current unit in reading is Series Book Clubs. Before this project, we did not have the books necessary to complete this unit. Now, we have plenty of books, in a series, to get us reading until June!

  The students have been engaged in meaningful conversations about characters and their character traits. Thus far, they have gathered information on how characters act similarly throughout a series! We can't wait to continue our work!

• Cuddle Up to Learning!

  Thank you so much for your amazing donation to aid us in getting our classroom rug!

  It is a beautiful and colorful rug that brings a positive light into the classroom.

  Unfortunately, due to covid, the rug is only being used in small groups right now, so we can spread out. The students are comfortable and able to share many ideas. They feel secure in having a space to themselves that is bright and colorful.

  This rug has made our classroom beautiful, comfortable and fabulous!
