A Love of Reading Makes a World of Difference!
Funded Jan 28, 2021Wow - we are so blessed to have a BRAND NEW READING LIBRARY thanks to all of you!!!! The skills that I use for these books are to engage the student and teach character building concepts. I also use these books to read to my students and access listening comprehension. We use the books to do picture walks by looking at the pictures prior to reading it and making predictions about what the story will be about. These children ABSOLUTELY LOVE interacting with these books, especially the pop up ones. The dinosaur book is used for cross curricular activities in science and art as well. The amount of things that can be done with these books is truly countless!
Reading in my classroom typically is directed by me. I read to the students because with most of my children, we are working hard on reading fluency and sight words so the ability level of these books is too high currently. They can sit back and enjoy the story when I read it aloud to a small group and ask questions to make sure they are actively listening. We've drawn pictures and completed writing prompts based on these books already!
As you can clearly see, we are all enjoying these books VERY MUCH! There are limitless options and opportunities to incorporate these books into daily learning!”

Mrs. Carson
Learning by Doing!
Funded Dec 1, 2020You have no idea how much your generous donation means for my students! We are ever so grateful for having this project fully funded. As you can see in the pictures, the children LOVE everything that was purchased. The interactive worksheets, the motivational posters, and the many other items that were purchased have been used on a daily basis.
In such a time as this, it's difficult to try to fund school projects and support your own family so I am EVEN MORE impressed by your willingness to donate during this time of crisis in our world. Please know that we are truly thankful and will use these things to enhance the learning of each child that enters my classroom.
Again, with deepest gratitude for your generosity!!! Here's to you and helping in the education of my young, precious students!”

Motor Movement Within The Class!
Funded Jun 28, 2019THANK YOU SO MUCH for funding this project! My students just LOVE the variety of games that we are able to play that incorporate our curriculum. As you can see from the pictures, they are using the hula hoops and bean bags. For this activity, we played a spelling game and if they spelled the word correctly, they were able to throw 3 beanbags and each hoop was worth a certain amount of points. They had a BLAST!!!! For the monkey game, we used this to enhance our grammar lesson on plural nouns one day last week. For each correct response, they were able to take a turn. Again, we are turning our lessons into FUN AND EDUCATIONAL tools with these materials.
We are so very grateful for everyone's generosity!”

Mrs. Carson
