STEMtastic Students
Funded Nov 29, 2021My students have thoroughly enjoyed using all the STEM materials you gifted them. The students have used the modeling dough, magnetic ten-frame, gears, and geometric shapes the most, though.
The Arteza Kids Modeling Dough was an instant hit! Students got to pick their favorite color, use the dough stamper, and let their creativity flow. In addition, the modeling dough was great for fine-motor practice.
The Learning Resources Magnetic Ten-Frames proved to be a helpful learning tool for students during Math. It helped them understand how to count, identify number pairs to 10, and make teen numbers. I placed each ten-frame and a set of counters in a Ziploc bag so each student would have their own.
The students also enjoyed building with the Learning Resources Gears! Gears! Gears! Mega Builds and Dive Into Shapes Building sets during our Free Choice time. Watching their excitement and creativity come alive was priceless.
Thank you for making a difference in my students' lives!”

Funded Dec 11, 2021Thank you for helping my students become Reading Rockstars and develop a love for literature! Your generous donations have gifted my Kindernauts a new classroom library that they are genuinely excited about. In addition, the students have the option to peruse the classroom library daily since they don't have a Library special every day.
The ECR4-Kids bookcase display shelf fits perfectly in the corner of our classroom, allowing students to enjoy their reading time in a spacious nook. Additionally, my students love the monthly Scholastic Let's Find Out magazine subscriptions for at-home reading material.
We also love all the math books and plush characters who enhance our read-alouds!”

Funded Oct 23, 2021Your donation to this project has allowed me to utilize the ESGI assessment tool to monitor weekly literacy and math skills, fine-tune interventions, differentiate instruction using real-time student data, and communicate more effectively with my students' families. The ESGI assessment tool has also helped me administer weekly and quarterly assessments in a timely matter.
The ESGI assessment tool also has a Test Explorer feature. This feature allows the user to create tests that can effectively assess 1:1 interventions, providing valuable feedback regarding student progress.”

We All Win With STEM Bins!
Funded Oct 31, 2021My students have thoroughly enjoyed building and creating with their hand2mind STEM Bins. They use them after lunchtime, during free choice time, and as an early finisher activity. The task cards and blueprint cards have encouraged my students to think, plan, and prepare their projects with more creativity and precision.
It's been fantastic to hear what the students are planning to build and see their finished product. I have students building the Golden Gate Bridge with the building bricks, making mazes with the foam pattern blocks, and creating houses with the straws and connectors.
Thank you for bringing this project to life and bringing smiles into the classroom!”

Funded Oct 21, 2021Thank you for helping my students become Healthy Heroes in the classroom! They've had a steady supply of disposable masks to change into daily after recess, which is helping us to reduce the spread of COVID-19 (and other germs). I am able to safely clean and sanitize our classroom using the Nitrile Disposable Gloves and Clorox Disinfectant Wipes. All these items are conveniently stored on the Rolling Metal Organization Cart for easy access.
We are also using the pencil case pouches to store individual supplies such as colored pencils, reducing the spread the germs.
All these items have helped the students stay masked and kept our classroom clean.”

Funded Feb 10, 2021My Kindernauts enjoyed using the Social-Emotional Storytelling Kits, puppet sets, and art supplies this school year. They were the most excited when we used the puppets during our community helper unit. The storytelling kits helped my students identify and regulate their emotions while building respectful relationships with their peers.
My students also enjoyed using the construction paper crayons during our Reading, Math, and SEL blocks.
Thank you for your generous donations and partnering with me to help my students become SEL Savvy Students. The materials from this project have been a great addition to my classroom and will be appreciated for many years to come.”

Funded Nov 2, 2020Thank you for your kind and generous donations to our class project, "Launch into Learning." We've been able to: use the masks to help prevent the spread of germs in the classroom; use the IRIS Modular Supply Cases as mask cases during breakfast and lunch; use the SitSpots to socially distance students within the classroom, and incorporate the hand2mind Pattern Blocks and Mini Geometric Solids into lessons and assessments.
My students appreciate the disposable masks and individual mask cases to house their masks. They also enjoy using the easy-to-clean pattern blocks and geometric solid shapes during Math and Free Choice time.
We will be using the flexible seating options after we return from Spring Break.”

Learning at a Distance: We Can Do It!
Funded Sep 13, 2020Thank you for your generous donation to my project, Learning at Distance: We Can Do It! The materials supplied in this project have made distance learning both attainable and meaningful for my students.
Every month our grade level does a packet pick up where we send home materials to students. These materials include the Play-Doh that was included in the project. The Play-Doh is a win-win as the students love it, and it also helps them improve their fine motor through play. My students have been able to form letters, numbers, and shapes with their Play-Doh during our Zoom sessions.
Our school is returning for in-person learning on January 19th, so I opted to save the remaining materials when the students return. Each student will be given their own bin, which will house all their individual supplies. Each student will have their own Safe Place Kit, including the rekenrek beads as a self-regulation tool. I will also read the Little Spot books as read-alouds during our SEL lesson.”

Growing Wings and Planting Things
Funded Jan 28, 2019Thank you so much for bringing science to life in our Kindergarten classroom! We now have a class pet named Juneau (after our state capital) who resides in an aquaponics fish tank. We have also created a new class job of an Ichthyologist to care for Juneau in her new habitat. Juneau has been a great addition to our classroom and the students look forward to seeing and feeding her every day!
Atop our fish tank, we are growing a bed of wheatgrass and radish microgreens. We are thrilled to see how the life cycle of a plant works using an aquaponic system. I am able to teach the students about the parts of a plant and how plants can grow in different types of environments. This brings gardening to a whole new level!
Additionally, we are learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. Upon arrival, the caterpillars were in the larval stage. Now our friends are undergoing metamorphosis in the pupa stage. Each student will be able to release a butterfly once they reach the adult stage. This real-time transformation has my students asking questions and making predictions. It's great to see and hear the discussions that are happening in my classroom and at home.
Your kind and generous donations have brought many smiles and excitement into my classroom. My students are developing a love for learning and a deeper appreciation for science. These are the experiences and memories they will cherish!”

Mrs. Echon
