  • Reduce, Reuse, Re-Write

    Funded Aug 3, 2023

Thank you for supporting the "Reduce, Reuse, Re-Write" project! My Kindernauts have enjoyed using their Boogie Boards, and we don't have to deal with the mess of cleaning up whiteboards and losing dry-erase marker caps. It's been a win-win all around. The included stylus also gives the students extra practice to strengthen their fine motor skills.

We recently learned about plants, and students used their Boogie Boards to draw the parts of a flower to expand their learning. They also used the Boogie Boards to do some free-choice drawings. Additionally, the students have learned how to treat their materials responsibly and take extra care when handling their Boogie Boards.”

  • Alaska Kids Deserve It!

    Funded Aug 5, 2023

Thank you for supporting my incoming Kindergartners and fully funding this project. I look forward to creating a warm, safe, and welcoming environment so my students can have fun and do their best learning. They’ll be able to enjoy healthy snacks to sustain their focus and energy, too. Alaska kids deserve it!”

  • Reading is Out of This World!

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

Thank you for giving my Kindernauts the gift of reading while building our classroom library. My students now have access to a superb selection of books and look forward to reading and being read to daily. They love reading the "There Was an Old Lady books" and the "Ocean Tales" books the most. The "Pete the Cat" books have also been a hit! The students will usually check out a book and read independently or with a partner and then take turns sharing the books. It's been great watching them flourish into eager readers.”

  • Hooray for Headphones!

    Funded Mar 31, 2023

Thank you for supporting the "Hooray for Headphones!" project and giving my students comfortable, functional headphones that fit their heads properly. While the previous headphones served a purpose, they were too bulky, oversized, and uncomfortable for my students to wear. These new headphones offer my students a choice of color and fit, and they can now focus on logging into their Chromebook and concentrating on their work instead of adjusting their headphones. We are very appreciative of your kindness and generosity in supporting student learning!”

  • Excellent Eyewords for Eager Learners

    Funded Oct 8, 2022

Thank you for your generous donations and for bringing this Excellent Eyewords for Eager Learners project to life! My Kindergarten students are fortunate to learn high-frequency and irregularly spelled words based on the Science of Reading. The addition of the Eyewords Multisensory Sight Words Cards, Sets #1-3 and Color, Numbers & Shapes, Eyewords Orthographic Sight Word Card Bundle, and Eyewords Multisensory-Orthographic Printable Worksheet Bundle has been a huge game-changer in teaching my students how to read and spell. As a result, I see huge gains in their ability to decode words, increasing their confidence as emergent and early readers.”

  • Mobile Learning Center for Little Learners

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

Thank you for bringing our Mobile Learning Center for Little Learners project to life! We've used the Flex-Space Double-Sided Mobile Teaching Easel to display anchor charts and learning posters and build CVC words using the giant alphabet magnets. We've also enjoyed listening to and interacting with stories using the Storytelling Board with Magnetic Backing and Lakeshore Storytelling Kits.

Another great addition to our classroom that has helped with transitions is the Giant Classroom Timer. It is big enough for everyone in the classroom to see, and it keeps everyone on task and has improved our transition time between activities. The students also get to start or start the timer, which gives everyone a job and a movement break.

We are thrilled to have these learning tools in our classroom and couldn't have done it without your kindness and generosity.”

  • Marvelous Mathematicians and Stellar Scientists

    Funded Aug 14, 2022

During Math and Free Choice time, my students are encouraged to expand their math knowledge through play and creativity. For example, my Marvelous Mathematicians have thoroughly enjoyed learning about number sense with the MathLink Cubes Numberblocks 1-10 Activity Set. They've also developed a solid understanding of teen numbers using the Numberblocks 11-20 set. They are huge fans of the Numberblocks characters and look forward to building with them daily. My students have also enjoyed strengthening their color and sorting skills using the Learning Resources Rainbow Sorting Crayons and Farmer's Market Color Sorting Set.

Thanks for helping my students strengthen their math skills with these fun and engaging math tools!”

  • School Supplies and Storage Solutions That Spark Joy!

    Funded Jan 11, 2022

Thank you for your generous donations to this project! The materials from this project were a huge game-changer for my students. Everything from the seat sacks to the pencil holders helped my students keep all their materials neat and organized while learning in a COVID-conscious classroom. Allowing my students to have individual supplies also encouraged them to care for their materials while developing their responsibility skills. It also reduced transition times between activities as all their materials were easily accessible.”

  • Warm and Well-Fed in Winter

    Funded Jan 28, 2022

Your generous donations to the Warm and Well-Fed in Winter project helped my Kindernauts stay warm and safe at recess during the winter months. The set of scarves, gloves, and beanies kept my students bundled up and provided them with adequate warmth and comfort when recess temperatures were frigid.

My students also enjoyed all the healthy snack options during snack time. Instead of eating a lot of high-sugary snacks, they enjoyed GoGo Squeeze applesauce, Veggie Straws, and gimMe Organic Roasted Seaweed Sheets. The snacks helped the students sustain their energy and focus during our afternoon math block.

The Lysol wipes and masks also helped to keep our classroom clean and prevent the spread of germs for the remainder of the school year.”

  • Learning Through Light

    Funded Mar 1, 2022

My Kindergarten students thoroughly enjoyed using the color-changing light table and accompanying materials. They looked forward to using the light table several times a week, and one student even had the job of being the light controller. First, the students used the translucent manipulatives to create color and shape patterns while strengthening their math and literacy skills. Next, I set up the table and immersed the alphabet letters within the translucent sensory beads and rings to give students a hands-on experience with color, light, and texture.

I look forward to using the color-changing light table again with my new Kindergarten students.”
