  • Two for One

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

We were unable to use this last year because of Covid. This year we were able to have our puppet shows. The kids had a great time retelling The Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Three Billy Goats Gruff and Little Red Riding Hood.

The high light of the puppet show was when one of my non English speakers wanted to play the part of Goldilocks. She repeated everything I said in English. The goal is to be able to retell a story, but to me the fact that she was able to try all those words in English was a big win.

Thank you for helping us have fun while we met our standard of retelling.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Eagleton

  • Educational Resources

    Funded Aug 31, 2022

The kids really enjoyed holding Spookley the square pumpkin while listening to the story about Spookley the square pumpkin. It truly helped those who have a hard time listening to sit quietly and listen to the story. Being able to see the stuffed pumpkin helped them understand what the shape of a cube is.

We love using all different kinds of realia to help with our learning and are grateful to generous donors like yourself who help us get these items.

The kids also love the ice cream cones that are helping them learn their numbers, how to count and to match the number they see to the scoops they put on the cone.”

  • Exploration with Imagination!

    Funded Aug 19, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our class. We were able to get stackable rocks. These rocks are good for seeing who can stack the most and or sort by color. The students also use the rocks for patterning. They are doing math and do not even realize it.

They love the little community helpers magnetic people. They are using them with the magna tiles and love them. They are so excited that they are magnetic and they can put them on the train without the people falling off.

We love our playdoh. We play with it to build letters or numbers.

Thank you for always helping our class.”

  • Stem Activities!

    Funded Aug 1, 2022

Thank you for your donation to our STEM activities project. My kids love building different things with their straw set. They have built rockets, towers, and different shapes. They love using their imagination. We used it during math time to see who could build the tallest tower. They did not even realize they were learning because they were having so much fun.

The magnetic community helper figurines have made our magna tiles so much fun. When we started discussing community helpers this week the kids realized that the people they play with our community helpers!

Thank you so much for making learning fun!”

  • Celebration part 2

    Funded May 16, 2022

We had an amazing end of the year celebration. With all the wonderful supplies that we received from generous donors like you we were able to celebrate all week with different items. We will get to use all these items as well next year when we are playing outside.

The students really enjoyed the large tic tac toe game. We played it sitting down as well as with teams running and trying to get the first tic tac toe. They only had 3 socks and if they got blocked they could pick one up and move it. They enjoyed this one so much!”

  • Center Games!

    Funded Jan 20, 2022

Thank you for your generous donation to our class. We use this ipad to play games and read stories. We found that we can also have stories read to us and my students loved this center. I was amazed at how much they wanted me to put it on a story to be read to them. Listening to theses stories helped them with reading as well. They were able to see the words as they heard the story. There is something about just enjoying a story that allows your brain to relax and learn some very hard words.

I am always grateful to all who support our class.”

  • We Love Books!

    Funded May 6, 2022

You never know the impact that a book can have on a student. Thank you so much for giving us new books to add to our library as well as books that I could send home with kids who do not have them at home.

Our students love to read and being able to put a variety of books in their hands is very expensive! Thanks to generous donors like you we are able to!

We used a few books in class as we learned the life cycle of a butterfly and the life cycle of a plant we were able to read about the process.

    We love books!”

  • Creative Kids Need Supplies

    Funded Apr 8, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to our class! You make a difference! I used the TPT gift card to purchase geo shape curriculum for my geo boards. The kids usually do free designs, or practice shapes, but they also like the ones I purchased. It helps them with their fine motor skills, creative thinking and just general love of school. The colored rubber bands have been a huge hit with the geo boards.

The sand box has been very beneficial in teaching letters to some students. Using the texture of the sand has helped immensely!”

  • Projects Bring Learning to Life!

    Funded Mar 1, 2022

The cups, dirt and seeds helped us learn the life cycle of a plant. They were so excited as the plant started growing and they could see the roots. It truly helped them to understand the importance of healthy roots and what takes place to keep a plant alive.

They had so much fun they did not even know they were learning! That is what happens when you partner with generous people who are willing to bring your ideas to life.

I used the flat storage bins for differentiated centers. Each color has the same general center with different levels. All students feel they are doing the same thing.”

  • Reading Helpers

    Funded Feb 17, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting our shenanigans. What a difference you have made in our class.

The door bell allows me to keep teaching while reminding my other students to stay on task. Whenever it starts getting too noisy I just ring the bell and they restart. I love it!!!

The item they love the most is the dance party button. We use it as a center rotation. When the kids are done with their first center I push the button. They get up and dance for 30 minutes and then clean up and rotate to their next center. What a game changer this has been!”

This year we are moving to a more hands on approach to learning. We will be utilizing STEM activities. The materials and supplies that I am requesting will help my students in many areas. The legos, wikki stix and building blocks will help my students with their fine motor skills, creative thinking skills, critical thinking skills and social skills. The laminate will be used to create centers and will reduce paper waste. A few examples of the centers will be play doh mats. these mats can be used for creative thinking. The students will be given a mat, play-doh and pipe cleaners to show what they know about measurement. Students will also use the dice in their centers in multiple ways. They will have numbers, pictures, letters and sight words to play different games to meet their needs. The tubs will be used to store these new supplies and centers. Organization is the key to success in kindergarten. These supplies will benefit all students in my class as they will get depth of knowledge while playing! We thank you in advance for considering our needs! We truly appreciate and value each one of you for helping us have a successful year!
