Funded Jun 18, 2022Having cameras in a yearbook class, especially in a Title 1 school, can have a transformative impact on students, both in terms of their academic development and personal growth. In a setting where students may face various challenges, cameras provide not just a tool for capturing memories, but also a gateway for cultivating new skills, building confidence, and fostering meaningful connections with others.
One of the most significant benefits of having cameras in the yearbook class is the opportunity for students to enhance their artistic skills. Photography is a medium that encourages creativity and self-expression, allowing students to develop an eye for detail, composition, and storytelling. Whether they're shooting candid moments, portraits, or campus events, they are learning the fundamentals of visual art in a hands-on, real-world environment. As students refine their photography skills, they gain a greater appreciation for art, aesthetics, and the creative process, which can inspire them to pursue further interests in the arts. Thank you for providing this opportunity to my students!”

Standing Room Only
Funded May 6, 2022Flexible seating in a middle school classroom offers several benefits, particularly in fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility in students. By allowing students to choose where and how they sit, they can select a spot that best suits their learning style and personal comfort. This autonomy can boost engagement, as students are more likely to focus when they feel in control of their environment. It also encourages a sense of community and collaboration, as students are often able to move around and work with different peers. The variety of seating options, such as standing desks, which you helped provide, caters to various learning needs, ensuring that students can find a setting conducive to their individual focus and productivity.
Additionally, your donations contributing to flexible seating promote social-emotional growth by creating a more inclusive and adaptable space. Students are empowered to work in groups or independently, depending on the task at hand, which helps develop both their teamwork and self-management skills. This flexibility supports diverse learning preferences and enhances student well-being, contributing to a more effective and enjoyable educational experience. Thank you for bringing these possibilities to life in our classroom!”

Funded Aug 7, 2020Thank you for your help during this uncertain time. We all had to make adjustments during distant learning and figure out new ways to make content accessible and engaging. Your donation has helped students get materials that they have needed during distant learning.
Students received a care package in the mail that included the stylus and they were very excited and grateful. Families were also very moved at the generosity of others.
This has helped students navigate their school iPads and helped us in class we are annotating.”

Funded Nov 26, 2019Now that students have wireless keyboards they learned the skills of connecting a keyboard to bluetooth and how to be mindful and take care of shared materials in the classroom. They are practicing their typing skills and now are able to use a keyboard when creating presentations, typing responses and collaborating with their peers.
Students were overjoyed to see brand new keyboards just for them. They were moved by strangers contributing to their education and caring enough to help them.
Students ask everyday if they can use their keyboards and it makes me so happy to tell them of course they can because they are for them!”
