I currently teach in a low education, high poverty neighborhood in Phoenix, AZ. The students that attend the school thrive in their education due to our structured environment. We provide a sanctuary for the students to learn and grow both educationally and emotionally. These students leave our campus ready to take on the challenges they will face after school. Each and every student in my class work hard daily to retain concepts and content that is taught in school. While my students work their hardest, they do learn differently from other students on campus. They need more repetition and completely diverse ways of learning the content. We have found methods that work and through Donors Choose, I will be obtaining resources to assist my students while giving them a love for learning.
