I promise to be a responsible steward of both your donation and your trust. Thanks to your kind donation, I am able to provide snacks and chargers to my students. Your donation has already made a huge impact.

  Keeping students "charged" is always a challenge. My students are always hungry! They know I have snacks available to them, and never hesitate to ask.

• Let's Get Snacking

  I truly don't know how to begin to express my gratitude for the donations to our classroom. Our students eat snacks 3 times a day. All of our students have healthy appetites. These snack items help diminish significant triggers that can interfere with the learning environment. We have relied solely on donations from parents and it is simply not enough. This donation will help our classroom sail through the end of the year with ease and help us remain focused on our academic progress.

• Motivational Snacking

  I teach a diverse population of students ranging from honors, special education, and English language learners who come from many different cultural backgrounds and educational needs. We are a Title I school which means that students come from many different social and economic circumstances. I teach sixth grade to three different mathematics classes every year with thirty students in each class. My students are located mostly in the Elmhurst and Corona areas of Queens, which has been hit very hard by this pandemic.

• Let's Get This School Year Started Right

  Thank you so much for your donations! Our community safety shirts were given out to students in need. These shirts help identify students during our safety and fire drills. Each of our students is assigned to a community. Our communities are labeled, "Scholars", "Experts", "Innovators" and "Leaders". Each community is assigned a color. Each community travels the building together from class to class. Identifying the students by color helps to keep them safe and organized. We couldn't keep our students safe without your generous support.”

• Community Safety Shirts

  First and foremost, I would like to say thank you for your unsurpassed generosity. This project is so very special. Having students identified by community colors is a huge safety net in our school. Community shirts, in our large school, are a must during fire drills and evacuation exercises.

  Students are require to wear their community color shirts on a daily basis. This project helps those who can't afford more than one shirt. Elmhurst, Queens was hard hit during the pandemic, and our students and parents are still feeling the effects of that.

  The students loved their new shirts! They were excited when taking pictures. And most of all, we are all so very grateful.

  In the future, we would like to include community colored sweatshirts for our students.

• PE Snack Attack

  Words can not express how grateful my students and myself are for your very generous donations. The students are so happy to receive snacks to keep them energized and motivated throughout the day. They are currently creating math board games to present and play with their peers. This project takes a lot of determination to complete. Having snacks on hand throughout the day helps the students to stay on task, focus and complete classwork assignments.

• We Can't Learn When Hungry: Warmth and Care Package

  Funded Feb 18, 2022

  Thank you again for your very generous donation. My students are "snacking" everyday. They are able to stay focused and on task when hungry. The variety of snacks and drinks enable them to choose differently everyone. The snacks are also a motivating factor in student work and attending after school programs. They know that they will be able to a snack and drink and enjoy it while working. I find the students actually completing more work as they are snacking.

• Motivate and Hydrate

  First and foremost I want to say thank-you so very much for your generosity. My students were so very excited to receive the water bottles today. They exclaimed, "Really, this is for me?" During the pandemic, most of our water fountains are off limits. The water bottles will keep them hydrated now through the day, with the added bonus of the time stamp on the bottles reminding them to hydrate. The posters motivate them to do their very best. • Printing in the Remote Math World

  Funded Feb 5, 2021

  Thank you for your donations! Remote learning was difficult to say the least! Many students have not been in school for over 1.5 years. Connecting with them was a challenge. Many of my students are visual learners who needed to see how to work out math examples. Using the white board while on live meets helped me to do this. I was able to print anchor charts and hold them up during lessons. Your donations helped me to show and explain math lessons through our google classroom meets. Thank you again!”
