AVID students learn many skills in order to help them succeed at school. One of those skills is notetaking. This will help them prepare for high school then college. This skill can be useful in all subject areas. Each student will need a Cornell style notebook to keep their notes organized. Many of the resources students will use are in their subject areas from their textbook, news articles, and websites. Students using their notetaking skills will also do better by reading and revising their notes. Many have done better on quizzes and tests. Overall, notetaking will help in high school and college.
