My students are first, second and third grade students who have a delay in literacy development and need intensive reading instruction to become successful, confident readers. They are eager to learn and work hard to gain ownership of phonics skills and comprehension strategies on their journey to become fluent readers. Our school district is in a low socioeconomic suburban area in Oklahoma. We are a Title I school with many students on free and reduced lunches.
