  • Puzzles for Firsties

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Thank you to each and every donor who helped us fund this project for puzzles! I teach 6-7-year-old 1st-graders who love to work with puzzles! Puzzles help develop their self-confidence, teamwork, camaraderie, and are great relaxation tools to help my students have a mental break after all the learning we will be doing.

Thank you all for allowing me to provide my students with some puzzles to continue fostering their problem-solving skills, fine motor skills, visual-spatial reasoning, and many more important lifelong skills.

Puzzles are an excellent way to learn through play. Puzzles will provide opportunities to work cooperatively. They will learn to problem solve and develop memory skills! Thank you for your thoughtful and generous donation!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Slayton

I am also grateful for the Versa Tiles in which students line up the puzzle by reading and answering questions.

This project will be helping to support a learning station for my students to independently listen to a story or song and learn developmental skills that are important for early childhood development.

These audio characters will be a fun and interactive way for the children to connect to stories and help and help build language, especially for my English Language Learners. I've also added the Versa Tiles and books to help with the development of reading and learning the language.

    Funded Aug 24, 2024

Thank you to each and every donor who helped us fund this project! The kids are having a blast with these resources and materials! Thank you for supporting my 1st-graders as we learn about Different Lands, Similar Stories! I know this will provide my little learners with a memorable experience of learning about different parts of the World and their various cultures with a Passport Experience. The operations games will be added to a station to culminate the unit of study.

I would love to provide my students with microscopes and pretend passports to ensure my little learners are engaged and have meaningful learning experiences.
