  • Chromebooks for Differentiated Learning in the Math Classroom

    Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom! We use the chromebooks and chromebook cart to support our learning. Specifically, the chromebooks allow us to split into small groups to work on Khan Academy on the computers while others are working directly with the teacher. This allows for the teacher to meet us at the point which we need the most help. Technology is so important in our process of learning as there are endless amount of resources available online for us to use.

With the chromebooks, our students work at their own pace, getting real-time feedback on programs such as Khan Academy which is so crucial in the math classroom. We use the technology on a weekly basis and the students love to have this access. Some students who often feel like they struggle with math, love that they don't feel pressure to do high level skills and can work on the skills that they need the most help with. We love the technology and look forward to using it more and more through the year!”

The Chromebooks will be used directly by students on a daily basis to meet their individual needs in the math classroom. We are looking to eventually have a class set, but for now, a few chromebooks can still go a long way. We are looking to use Khan Academy instruction on a daily basis to help meet the needs of my students at their different levels. We have used Khan Academy consistently and effectively over the years, but the struggle is always getting ahold of the shared laptops in the school. We use the computers enough that we need a few to get our class set started.
