Safe Storage
Funded May 11, 2020Thank you so much for the donations during this difficult time. The material organizers will help us stay away from infection. Each student can have their own holder for supplies. It will minimize unnecessary touching and prevent spread of disease. Hope you stay healthy and kind. We wish the same for your loved ones too.”

Easel into Learning
Funded Aug 30, 2019Thank you so much for donating to my classroom.
As soon as our box arrived in the classroom, we were filled with joy and relief. It had been difficult to hold up big books, display writing and enjoy our math puzzles without an easel. The whole class was overjoyed and gave blessings to all the donors for finding it in their hearts to donate to this project.
Now, we sit on the rug, compose sentences and paragraphs on the easel and copy them on paper. We display our projects on the easel. Every morning I write a "Puzzle For The Day"on the easel. It is a math question which also deals with the topic for the day. When the students come in they sit on the rug and solve the question mentally. This gives them good practise in solving math questions.
Room 9 is grateful. It now, has an awesome easel. :-)”

An Organized Library Saves Time
Funded May 20, 2019Thank you for the gift of a means to organize our class library. I received it well in time just as the school started this year. I was able to organize the books according to the main character in the book. First graders are learning to recognize the leads in the stories. I now have separate bins for Flat Stanley, Magic School Bus, Magic Tree House, Cam Jansen, Franklin, Arthur, Bad Kitty, Fly Guy, etc. Students usually have a favorite character they want to read about. Earlier I had no way of separating them physically so books used to get heaped together. Students would spend a lot of time trying to find a book of their favorite character. Now, I have them in separate bins. I have the bins labelled. Students go to the bin that holds their interest and take a book and read.
When my students saw the boxes delivered they were really excited. I told them that it held a new book case. My husband assembled it for us. The students were ecstatic. Even now they visit that bookcase first and then go to the other ones while choosing a book. It is the most popular book case in the room. :-)
My first graders have so much fun reading that they forget to place the books back in the right bin. We are working on learning the skill to place the book in the designated bin so others can find the book easily. I'm sure by the end of first grade they will master that skill too. All thanks to you! :-)”
