Art Supplies to Support Character Building
Funded Jan 12, 2012This is just a note to show my gratitude toward your generous donation to my classroom art project. The book Bullying In Schools, the Dot Painters, Ink pads and Stamps, Scissors, Dough Stampers and tools, and Art Trays that you donated to our classroom are a wonderful resource for my students. We have discussed many of the interesting facts about Bully's. Some of the students made connections to their own experiences but, many of them agreed that they have not seen much Bullying in our school, which is really good to hear.
We have used the art supplies during small group rotations and during center time. You should have heard the students cheer when I introduced them for the first time. Due to the amount of art supplies you have supplied, I am able to change the activities in the art center every other day which gives the students more incentive to visit the center. You should see the art that they are producing. It is so fun to watch their minds at work and then see them shine when they get to share their idea with the class. The Play dough center is a huge hit as well. The Alphabet stampers, letter cards, and number cards are so much fun, they forget they are still learning!
Our schools are currently facing a budget shortfall, so without your help, my students would not be able to enjoy all of these wonderful art supplies. All of my students, especially my second language learners, are able to express ideas through art.
Without Donors like you, my students would be missing out on vital resources like these.”

Funded Dec 23, 2011This is just a note to show my gratitude toward your generous donation to my classroom project. The book Bullying In Schools, the Tag Readers, and the library of books that you donated to our classroom are a wonderful resource for my students. I have read many of the interesting facts about Bully's and the students made a connection to our recent study of Martin Luther King. They agreed that if the students may have heard about how to deal with Bully's long ago, that maybe the lady on the bus (Rosa Parks) would have been able to sit where she wanted. (I thought that was a very clever idea coming from a Kindergarten student.)
We have used The Tag Readers during Small Group Rotations and during Center Time. You should hear the students cheer when we bring them out ! Due to the amount of books you have supplied, I am able to change the books in the center every other day which gives the students more incentive to visit the center. The more they visit the Tag Reading Center, the more exposure they get to new exciting stories. These stories are filled with new vocabulary and fun games for the students. I am thrilled with the product will encourage other teachers to purchase them for Thier students!
Our schools are currently facing a budget shortfall, so without your help, my students would not be able to enjoy the wonders of reading with the help of the Tag Readers and Books. All of my students, especially my second language learners, are able to hear a story, learn to read, and play games with this wonderful learning tool.
Without Donors like you, my students would be missing out on vital resources like these.”

Funded Dec 8, 2011This is just a note to show my gratitude toward your generous donation to my classroom project. The projector that you helped fund are a wonderful resource for my students. The first time I was able to project something up on the big screen my class was amazed. You should have heard the students cheer when they were all able to see the book!
Our schools are currently facing a budget shortfall, so without your help, my students would not be able to enjoy the wonders of reading on the BIG screen. All of my students, especially my second language learners, are able to learn to read, and see how to write letters correctly, view the math games, and enjoy every minute of learning.”

Funded Mar 26, 2010It has been an amazing end of the school year, thanks to your generous donation! My students have been able to expand their vocabulary with the new tools for our Learning Labs. The new classroom management tools include the name tag necklaces bought by you!
These name tags have taken the responsibility off of the teacher and put it into the children's hands. The students are now able to choose the learning lab in which they want to explore. When they are finished exploring, the tags allow them to see other labs that are available, they go to the area, put on the necklace, and begin working.
By allowing the students to make the choices and resolve the conflicts that may arise during the course of the time allotted for the Learning Labs, it gives me, the teacher, an opportunity to do one-on-one assessments and/or time to tutor struggling students.
Again, thank you for your generous donation to my class project! ”
