Science vs. Disney Magic!
Funded Jan 25, 2013This is just a small token of gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom project. The new found interest in science is amazing!
Upon receiving the materials you helped purchase, we have been able to explore many new science concepts. The hands on teaching tools include ready made centers, and white board ready charts and worksheets. I can not wait to share these amazing resources with my fellow teachers.
Our school is currently facing a budget shortfall. Without donors like you, our students would be forced to go without these amazing resources. Thank you for sharing my enthusiasm for teaching by supporting my project.”

Funded Sep 18, 2012This is just a small token of my gratitude for the wonderful donation you made to our classroom. The leveled reading books project that you supported has been a wonderful addition to our classroom library. The students have been able to enjoy new stories at their reading level. Since the books are already organized, it is easy for the students to chose books and successfully meet their monthly reading goals.
Our school district is currently facing a budget short fall, with out your help, our classroom would have to continue without these reading materials. For students preparing to enter middle school, vocabulary development is one of the most important factors for success in reading and writing. With the variety of fiction and non-fiction books you provided, our class will be able to do that while reading for pleasure.
Thank you for supporting our classroom.”

Funded Mar 24, 2012This is just a small token of my gratitude toward the wonderful donation you made to my classroom project. The Reading Box and Magnetic display clips are a wonderful addition to our center time. My class is able to keep all of our Tag Reading pens organized. In addition, the students are able to choose and display their wonderful work on our magnetic display board. The Bullying In School books have encouraged my students to use kind words without being reminded.
Our schools are currently facing a budget shortfall. Without donors like you, my students would be lacking valuable resources. My second language learners benefit especially from the organized materials and taking ownership of the classroom by seeing their work posted on a daily basis.
Thank you for supporting my classroom project and my students.”

Funded Apr 29, 2012I am so grateful for the generous donation you made to my project. I was thrilled to see that you share the same enthusiasm that I do for the importance of technology in Kindergarten. Sice the new laptop has arrived, I have been able to introduce my students to web based learning and web sites that are kid friendly. They are so excited when they get to go to the computer center.
Our schools are currently facing a budget shortfall. So without donors like you, my students would be lacking these valuable resources.
Thank you again, and I hope you continue to support Donors Choose.”

Cooperative Learners... Not Bullies!
Funded Feb 3, 2012Words cannot express how grateful I am for your generous donation to my project. The Ready Made Learning Centers are a wonderful addition to my class resources. During center time, the students are engaged in fun activities and games while practicing phonics, reading, and math skills.
Now my students are able to practice first hand cooperative learning skills. Each center is designed for four students to participate at a time. Therefore, they must use kind words and take turns just as the examples in the book Bullying In Schools teach us.
Our schools are currently facing a budget shortfall which means these resources would not be provided if it weren't for donors like you. I truly appreciate your support in helping me provide quality education to my students.”

Funded Dec 13, 2011Words can not express how grateful I am for your donation to my project. Since I received the books and laptop, my teaching has changed dramatically! My students are more engaged in the lessons because they are able to see everything on a big screen!
Prior to having the laptop, all of the media and technology resources were only available at he computer center. Now, I am able to project all of it on the big screen and make my lessons interactive. This is so important, especially in Kindergarten, because my students learn by doing and seeing. My second language learners are able to internalize new vocabulary right on the spot. This is evident in their speaking and writing activities.
Our schools are facing a budget shortfall, so without donors like you, I would not be able to get these valuable resources for my students. Thank you so much for your continued support.”

Funded Jan 31, 2012This is just a small token of my appreciation for your generous donation to my classroom project. The rechargeable batteries and chargers that you donated to our classroom are keeping our centers up and running at all times. In Order to foster a love of reading in my young students, I use Leapfrog Tag Reading pens as a reading center. This is a very popular center and the batteries run out quickly. Thanks to you and your donation, we are able to keep the centers charged.
I have incorporated a battery manager who makes sure that every Friday I put the batteries on the charger before we leave for the weekend. In addition to keeping our centers charged, my students are learning a lot about recycling. They know that every time the batteries are dead, we can recharge them instead of throwing them away.
Our schools are currently facing a budget shortfall, without donors like you, our classroom centers would be lacking the charge they need to keep working. Thank you again for your interest in my classroom project.”

Funded Jan 31, 2012This is just a token of my appreciation for your donation to my classroom project. The Printer and Ink that you supplied has been a wonderful addition to our classroom technology center. The children are so excited when they are able to print what they have been working on in the computer center. The parents have also expressed their appreciation for the color copies that the children are bringing home. Printing color copies of new vocabulary is especially good for my English Language Learners who need the photo library for reference at home.
I am especially happy when a student shows an interest in a certain book and I am able to photo copy their favorite part for them to write about. They really are showing an interest in writing about new characters and their favorite part of a story. In addition, the students have learned quickly how to navigate the buttons on the printer and print out coloring sheets, photos, and words from our sight word list.
Our schools are currently facing a budget shortfall, and without generous donors like you, our students would be missing out on important resources like these. Thank you again for your interest in my classroom project. ”

Funded Feb 6, 2012I can not fully express my gratitude for your donation to my project. The Bullying In Schools book that you donated has taught us so much about Bulying and how to deal with a Bully. The students are able to discuss the effects of being a good citizen and are practicing good manners.
The I Pod Touchand docking station you donated has been a wonderful addition to our classroom tools. I was able to download all my music and put them into playlists according to skills and subjects. Having all the music at my fingertips really cuts the "down time" in half. The students have learned how to find a play list and start the music for me as well. I now have added a "Music Manager" to our classroom helpers. I can't wait to share this with my colleagues at our next meeting.
Our schools are currently facing a budget shortfall. Without donors like you, our classrooms would be missing valuable resources.”

Funded Dec 30, 2011This is just a small token of gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom project. The document camera that you donated has improved all of my lessons. The students are engaged and can really see everything. Whether it be a simple cut and paste demonstration, a math lesson, or sharing a writing journal, the document camera has been a wonderful addition to my classroom.
Our schools are currently facing a budget shortfall, so without your help, the document camera would not be in my classroom. My English Language learners are especially benefiting from the document camera because they're able to see color photos to increase their vocabulary and use new language when sharing out.
Without donors like you, my students would be missing out on this and many other wonderful resources.”
